It's unfortunate that you kwood mags have to wait to corn season to get in there, so many good lines that would be prime mid winter. I mean come on the cirquecdoesn't really have much on the bec or the midi or the reve venue, all of which are fair game for anyone
Years ago when they tried to open Tram Face patrol spent all day hauling people out of there. At the places you mention they have helicopters to haul folks out--and charge them for it. At the Wood I suspect part of the deal with the Cirque might be the difficulty of a tobaggan evac. But then I might just be blowing smoke./

Or it might be that it is the US and those other locations are not. I have been in the Cirque, It should be open for me of course, but there would be massive carnage daily.

With all of the non-timers hitting the "greatest run on earth," The Wall, it is only a matter of time till the idiots make a sharp right and throw themselves over the Cirque rocks. Carnage for sure. That being said, there are tons of rock crops throughout KWoo, the lower cirque is no different. I was actually surprised how low they start people that are doing Comps on the Cirque. I say run a connector lift from the top of 10 to the top of Thimble.......C'mon Vail. You won't! haa Then again, maybe Vail will also run a carpet from the bottom of Hells/Thunder out to Chair 2. Again..You Won't

I saw a heli in Olympic valley Friday afternoon. Not sure what was going down. Looked like a medical chopper.

Squaw Silvy was still decent Friday am. Thursday Sierra at Tahoe was damn near great. The snow fell so light dawn there and must have gotten a few extra pulses to come through. 14" total.

Just as a heads up - if your a Squaw or AM pass holder you need to get your day ticket for Sierra at the window.

There's atleast a heli per day at squaw on the busy weekends. My guess is because we live in 'Mercia land of no personal responsibility and frivolous lawsuits. It's unfortunate all the shitty suehappy people have to ruin it for the rest of us. On a brighter note, skied down to the river from big chief today and found tons of awesome features and even some good snow! Click image for larger version.

The one run down high whiskey at 4:10 was decent. My friends reported it was good. Back and side country were excellent.

Did someone just post that they want a magic carpet to take you down hill tithe lift? Wax your skis.

KW sucked today. I'm declaring the midweek crew is all slackers. They had two days to get the snow packed down, and what? Untracked pockets all over - frontside, backside, middleside. Really cold day, and I was overheating with all the hiking to flatten the blower.

Re: the previous talk about White Wolf, it got poached hard on Friday and Saturday. Tons of tracks - at one point I actually counted about 12 skiers over there at the same time.

On another note, my previous BC experience was boot pack only. Finally broke the skins out today and put my Guardians to use. Countless boot deep pow turns later and I'm officially hooked. Holy shit that was good. Talk about some motivation to get in better shape.

Hey, we tried as hard as we could, but it just would not pack down, and there was no-where near enough of us working on it to make much of a dent. Sorry if you couldn't find enough of our skier-packed-powder.

N/NE winds pumping on Donner Summit this afternoon. We could see a lot of snow coming off Basin Pk. Driving down old 40 you could see a red sunset from all of the snow up in the air. Cold temps and these winds could change avalanche conditions. Snow moving from where it usually lives to other aspects.

Thanks again to TheDad for a warm place to stay. Cold in the camper last night.

I coulda sworn he said Randy peed on the couch.

    Almost 730. Time for bed
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
