Bump. Heading up tonight for work tomorrow, it's not supposed to start raining until about 6 or so- enough for a full Friday of trail work! BOOYAH!

    Anybody else got Friday off?

DW, I have a baby and dogs but I might be able to unload the baby on Bluebird for a while. Any idea where you are concentrating your efforts tomorrow?

No, he doesn't. Even if he did he would not put it on the net.

From what I understand this glade won't be a secret stash so I figured I would be brave. Also realized I might get some flaming.

DW, checking PM's in a bit...Bridger isn't happy right now so I am going to go have some play time with the little dude.

What a guy offering his hard work for the good of the whole Magic community and not a select few. That's good karma.

Wow got a ton done yesterday and today. The rain is kicking my ass I'm about to pass out for a bit. So glad its supposed to be nice tomorrow... Just want to give mad props to arcteryx cuz my stingrays kept me dry for 6 hours of bushwhacking in a downpour.

Peeps should head up tomorrow, its supposed to be gorgeous and we've got a decent crew.

Just got back... And my new (to me) skis arrived while I was gone. FKNA Stoke squared! Now I need to grill the fresh VT farmers' market meat/sexy chipotle cheeses I got on the way home and it's
    + =

    So no pics today. Tomorrow.

Laser, I will check my production deadlines and material status when I get in Monday. If I have a window, I'm game for cutting shit down. I will PM you tomorrow as soon as I know what's good.

Ok, so I had a few minutes to upload some pics...

    Dawn friday morning.

    Yep. Fall has fallen. Friday.

This was the only pic I took on Saturday because it was raining like a bastard and this was the only photo op I had when it wasn't pouring. Early, on the hike up- the Red Chair's disappearing act...

I only took pictures after I was done with work on Sunday, as I didn't want to stop and smell the roses until I had shored up some loose ends, but I just wanted to tease you with a fun feature or two that should get you salivatin' for some snow. Huckfaces be warned: There's some new things for you to play with at Magic this year... Enjoy the teaser, and of course pics do no justice... Undisclosed location...

    Looking down...

    Looking up...

Another sexy spot with the option for air... Under the arch then off the big rock if you'd like... This spot is waaaaaay cooler than the pic would suggest, but you knew that...

Buy a season pass and I juuuuuust might show you where they are... Maybe. It all depends on whether or not you can pass UNM's Magic worthiness test but a season pass is mandatory equipment.

    Some more scenery

Some crap mountain off in the distance... I hear people ski it but these reports are unconfirmed, although I may have seen a few specks of day-glo flourescent colors off in that direction... Tough to tell.

Now you can really tell how much water my camera had inside it...

    Parting shot...

I hope you enjoyed them. The weather didn't really cooperate, but still got a ton done and took some decent pics although the camera was AFU after the rain.

Just trying to build stoke for Magic, it needs a bump in regular visits if the big plans for the future are going to bear fruit. So tell a friend. Tell them to tell their friends that Magic '09/'10 is where it's at.

Laser, I'm good for a Wednesday trip up if you're still game to put the smackdown on some messes the loggers left behind. PM me when you get a chance so we can figure out what works for you. Thanks for volunteering!

BUMP! It's a big, organized volunteer week! Who's in!?

I'm bringing my RV and a few friends this weekend, so this will be a great time for sure.

The weather calls for a 30% chance of snow Saturday night- Be there when the first flakes touch Magic!

can we camp out in the base lodge? I know setting up the bag underneath the taps might be frowned upon, but I thought I would ask.

Anyway, maybe I'll be heading up?

Will there be loppers, and a machete I could borrow? I have a little hand saw, box cutters, and gloves. My tools pretty much would all require many extension cords...But maybe then we could sand those rocks down a bit.

I doubt they will have a problem with camping in the lot, but I'm waiting for Bluebird to get back from Buffalo and give the OK- if he doesn't reply by the end of the day, I'll call Jim Sullivan and see what he thinks just so people can nail down plans 100%. Jim is in the Rad Dude Club, I highly doubt he would care about a few tents, etc. it's more of where he wants them.

Ml, I have several extra tools you could use. I have an extra set of loppers and an extra saw, along with hatchets and the like. I'll let you use my machete, but I may need it from time to time to "finesse" branches into their proper place. There's no way to get power up there without a generator, which would be major headaches. I'll be sure to bring anything that I can for anyone who needs it.
