That's what I thought. In that case I think I'd rather see the Yanks than the Mariners, since the Sox are cursed at Safeco. (careful what you wish for though, I know)

Thats not true, you cannot play within the division, thats why the Sox have always ended up playing the Yanks in the ALCS. If the playoffs started today, I believe it'd be Angels vs. Boston and NYY vs. Cleveland in the ALDS.
The other thing to remember is that the format for a five game playoff (ALDS) is 2 at home, 2 away, 1 at home...the Sox would have homefield advantage, so if the Mariners pull it off, Safeco shouldn't be too much of an issue. PLUS, the Mariners don't have the pitching to last too long in the playoffs.

What a story this guy's been! He just continues to knock the snot out of the ball. 2 HR, a double, four runs scored, and 7 RBI in today's game. Not bad for an ex-pitcher.
It would be Cleveland - Boston, Anaheim - NY

Just got back from the Sox-O's game. That wasn't much fun although it was nice to see Papi mashing. Matsuzaka couldn't throw a strike (or at least get one called, a lot of those pitches looked pretty good from the cheap seats). Hansack looked pretty sharp too.
Want to see a Red Sox home game? Go to Camden Yards, apparently. Holy shit, I've never seen anything like that. When we got there, early, it was well over 95% Sox fans. Absurd. Of course Sox fans were the only ones getting there ridiculously early, due to travel, but even during the game it was probably about 85% Sox fans. Almost felt bad for the few O's fans sounding pathetic trying to get 'Let's go O's' chants going--three voices doesn't do it.
Nice to see Beckett pitch well and get the win despite getting typically little run support. Camden Yards is a great park, will definitely be going back--and good seats are cheap!
Mucho thanks to Tipp and ice for massive help on the DC end of getting tickets.

Yeah, Camden Yards used to be a great place to see an Orioles game but Angelos has run it so far into the ground that even the D-Rays might finish ahead of us. If that does happen I hope that it will be the final straw for Angelos because Camden Yards is a great stadium and the Baltimore-DC old timers deserve a better product.
Jay Gibbons received HGH and some other steroids. Raffy Palmerio, Jerry Hairston, Tejada, Gibbons. I sense a pattern developing.

You comin' in for the Yankees series? I'll be in the Fenway area on Saturday night.
I'm going to a wedding in Falmouth. I have half a line on some tickets for Sunday, but the guy's hedging like crazy.
I'm still bummed that you were down here and I didn't realize it, Dex. I don't know why I thought you were coming next weekend.
