I'll say it right now, neither the Red Sox nor the Yankees will make it to the ALCS. The red Sox play with the passion of a sedated Lama (Thanks Theo, this is 100% your fault, I really hope that you are fired at the end of the season) And the Yanks pitching is too suspect to defeat Anaheim or whichever central team makes it.

I firmly believe that either of these teams can make it to the alcs.
The redsox are built on pitching, perfect for a short series.
And the yankees....all they have to do is get into the playoffs.
Line up wang, pettite, clemens, hugues, and with their offense and joba and mariano backing it up, they'd have an excellent chance of advancing past the alds.

He did have a strained oblique. It's unfortunate it happened for the Yankees series but I'm not blaming him.

That's crazy talk. I think all the AL playoff teams are fairly even, and they all have their flaws. Boston, Anaheim, Cleveland, and NY- that's a hell of a playoff right there.

Looks like Wang is starting to figure this game out. 86 pitches in 8 innings.

Yanks up by 2 in the wild card and I haven't given up on the division.

    No chance in hell...

The Yanks have no chance in winning the division...I mean, yes, they COULD, but they WON"T. The Wild card is very doable, but come on.

The wild card isn't doable if Ichiro and Adam Jones go beserk and take down everyone in their path.
If that's the way it is, then that's the way it is.

And its more likely that Arod, Jeter, Cano, Damon, Posada, Matsui, Giambi, Cabrera or Abreau go beserk....
