I'll say it right now, neither the Red Sox nor the Yankees will make it to the ALCS. I firmly believe that either of these teams can make it to the alcs.
The redsox are built on pitching, perfect for a short series.
And the yankees....all they have to do is get into the playoffs.
Line up wang, pettite, clemens, hugues, and with their offense and joba and mariano backing it up, they'd have an excellent chance of advancing past the alds.

That's crazy talk. I think all the AL playoff teams are fairly even, and they all have their flaws. Boston, Anaheim, Cleveland, and NY- that's a hell of a playoff right there.
