I think that I can speak for everyone at SkiNC when I say that we thank you and we owe you one.

I also want to thank the maggot community for all the generosity shown here. I see it all the time between members of this board but you all have gone above and beyond to give Don Alan a little bit of cheer in his life. I would also like to thank you all from everyone at skinc.com. You guys rock and this little bit of inspiration may help him hold on and continue to fight for a little while longer. We would all like to see him at Beech Mountain this winter. Thanks again for all you have done.

Every time I hear about a kid in Dan's position, it tears me up something fierce. As TJ said, you don't owe us anything. As the Clay Walker song goes, "you don't owe me a thing...someone once helped me out just like i am helping you if you really want to pay me back...don't let the chain of love end with you". I wish I was in a position to give more, however, as a collective my hope is we have given Dan enough positive vibes to keep fighting and this time next year, we are able to read a trip report with pics of his smiling face of tearing it up next to his sis being able to just be a kid.
Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

if you want something, go after it. if you want to screw someone over, look DEEP in your heart and realize Karma is a bitch

Nicely put, as a member of skinc and a (jong) TGR member, I wanted to thank all the maggots also. Don Alan has touched my heart, I cant imagine what his sister is feeling, I hope by this time next year we will have pictures of Don Alan skiing his new Fisher skis in NC.

All this stuff is going to make his day- fucking awesome. It would be great if you (TD, I assume) can somehow make it so he gets the stuff in small increments over a week or so- so that he's got something to look forward to every day.

Okay, Kenai and I have to get in on this too. I'll see what we have here that doesn't seem to be in any of the pics. Good stuff Maggots, as always sharing the stoke in every way possible, no matter the cause.

Bump cause I missed the shots of Don with all the gear and it's awesome that so many people did what they could for this kid.

...and cause I'm stoked my honda ski tour beanie is his favorite!

It was great for Don to get these packages. I like it that they are not all coming at the same time. All the Maggs were great sending a ton of stuff to our little corner of the ski universe, It is not that big but we have room for you guys. And TJ came through with the sticks, how rad is that. Man this board rocks. Just keep checking on skinc and updates will be posted. You are all welcome there as we could use some new faces and I am sure Don would love to hear fro meach of you personally.
