    JUSTNOW: OIL=$100+/barrel . . . got carpool-to-mountain plans?

Oil has NEVER been so expensive. It's gonna be a costly winter.
What are you going to do to cut your consumption?

That was a bad print. The high is $99.60.
Gasoline is up $.08 today so it's starting to move too.

    I'm going to drive less..

Already carpool. Commutte to work on a bike during the summer months. Push a reel mower in the summer. I guess it's time to get a biodiesel and stop off at the local Mcd's on the way to the slopes.

I'm going to start by punching myself in the nuts. The harder it is to sit in my car, the less I will drive.

The price to $100 on the Feb has two .20 cent gaps that don't match the March range.
Exchange is calling it good for now but I have my doubts unless the tick volume on those trades was huge.

my bloomberg shows $100.00 at 9:05 PST.

not sure what i'm going to do to cut consumption. still live in LA, so heat is never on. but hopefully move back to the mountains one day soon, probably grow a bamboo farm and use that for fuel. thinking about trading in one of the SUV's for a hybrid SUV, but not sure which is the best on the market. keep reading that the Ford Escpae is the way to go, but i still find that hard to believe.

    26mpg/4 passengers X 108 mile RT @ 3.39 = $3.52 each, compared to $14 going solo.

    Yeah. I carpool.

It will come down a bit. Shit going down in Nigeria driving price up coupled with an expected report that inventories have decreased in US.

The market was 47/48 @12:08 when those prints came in.

The Electronic high is $99.60. It would be very unususal for the Pit high to exceed the Electronic high by .40 since most of the trade is Access. Those trades at $99.90 and $100 show zero size too.

    CLG.AC on Reuters shows $99.60.

For me to be in a car solo is a very rare event.

Quibbling over $0.40/barrel isn't the point I get from those prices.

I blame Robert Moses and General Motors. And the former didn't even drive a car.

It's bogus.. Only in New York. If it were real trade plenty of stops would have been tripped.

it did trade 100$ as a one lot print on the floor. net net with the spreads where they are, it got real close.. im sure there wasnt any real offers when it traded. watch out, since the fed has stopped lowering rates and the europeans have opened their lending window wide open, you will get widespread inflation in hard goods, but currency crosses wont move as much.. ie: buy commodities!!!!

I work 8 miles from home, the mrs 3 miles from home.

Skiing on the other hand is 17 miles from home so I really need to carpool that.

I can't afford to ditch the diesel truck I commute with and get a hybrid though. Maybe motorcycle to work in the warmer months. (to hell with biking to work - it is straight uphill one way. Damn that would suck.)
