agentorange: the small handles up to 300mm boot sole. you (generally) should go as small as possible, as it weighs less and will be also flex a little less -- unless you are planning to swap skis with others or use bigger boots at some point in the future.

He asked for the price that we are looking at with the group buy and the number if each model.

Lacking universal comraderie and passion, we thought you "could fend for yourself, thanks" and were walking away... I guess with a deal this good, you could afford to look past our faults?

So, Greguar, if you'd prefer, I will back out of the Colorado buy lest your guilt / disdain for newbie buys cannibalizing local shops is accentuated by my involvement. Incidentally, I've bought plenty at retail locally, plenty online, and a few good "steals" off local boards. But I digress. I'll walk away from this and let the regulars take the deal. I can fend for myself, thanks. I just thought maybe the comraderie on the site, and the passion for the sport would be unversal. Guess it's not.
    Later.

    Greguar,
Thanks again for taking charge. I spoke with him the other day and he needed to know how many of each and what price the other company was offering.
I aswell would pay a few extra $$ to support the local guy.
I did forget to say fat brakes for my Freeride plus

It's not about whether or not to pass up the deal, it's about respecting Greguar's concerns. So I PM'ed him and said that I was serious about that post, that he could remove me from the list, and asked what happened to the concern ove newbies, liability, etc.

His response was "that's cool" and thanks for the offer but the concerns voiced while I was away from the board were rumblings that apparently never went anywhere. Just thoughts and questions, which is totally fair. Apparently there IS comeraderie and so therefore I may have been WRONG. In any case, I would have gladly walked away from this if there was ANY remaining seriousness about his posting with regard to tightening the reins on this deal. In understand, though, from his message to me, that he is ok now and I can feel good about prceeding with this.

I would take a pair of conforts TLT with wide brakes if anyone gets pricing close to the German prices (or can add me to a german buy).
    For sure buyer.
No questions, issues or reneging here.
    Thx.
PS - I almost stepped forward to set up an EC group buy, but I got way too much on my plate to deal with anyone other than myself.

Sorry guys been real busy at work and haven't had time to swing by Alpenglow. I plan on swinging by there today after work. I'll probably just start a CO group AT buy thread once I get the info.

Today, I finally closed the loop on customs fees from an April 06 order of AT bindings from Europe. In short: no fee on the bindings...but they did charge a fee on brakes!!

I imagine that this could be affected by whether the shipper (telemark-pyrenees in this case) chooses to consider the brakes part of the binding. in my case, they listed brakes on a separate line item from "fixations".
