    Sorry to hear!

I rode up c2 with a patroller on Friday and I mentioned how challenging it was to navigate the lumpy terrain just beyond chair 5's off ramp in the pea soup vis. He said they'd like to get a cat winched up there to smooth it out but aren't sure how to make it happen.

Off topic but he also mentioned the DGR gate is going to be a real thing once lower mtn base gets deeper.

Fuck!!! So sorry to hear this samenamebro.

I have spent more time at proliance this past summer/fall than anyone should but the drs were arm/shoulder guys. I’ll ping the surgeon who also coached issy youth football and see who on the proliance team he’d recommend for your injury. I’ve also seen Dr Gee at UW and plan on going back to for a potential scope/debridement as my repaired acl has gotten very crunchy and swollen of late

And all you missed on our lap was my shit navigating in Wall Street that ended with a sidestep of shame after ended up at limbo log that is definitely not in yet.

Heal up and back at you with a pm on the proliance rec

Phatty, damn dude sorry to hear!!! You’ll be back at it though, modern medicine is amazing and it will soon be in the rear view mirror.

A bit out of your way but Rebound Orthopedics in Vancouver is top notch.

Took almost an hour to get the sled there, but patrol was great.
Damn man. So sorry to hear. Positive thoughts for a speedy recovery!

Edelweiss Chair and beyond... Alpental , The valley and the rest of snocrummy

Picked up a pair of 200cm DPS Lotus Pure2 over the summer and decided to try them out in the heavy mash potato wet yesterday.

Surprisingly nimble and steady in the chop. Deciding whether to keep or sell, they overlap with my Billy Goats for this purpose.

Thanks for all the well wishes, vibes and prayers. Had surgery yesterday (Dr. Silas Marshall from Proliance at Overlake) and doc said damage was better than hoped. No ligament damage or extra bone fragments. Guess it was a pretty clean fracture. 7 screws and 1 plate to hold it all together. Plus the fracture was in a non weight bearing portion of the tibial plateau, so recovery should be faster with less long term impact. He said I should be ready to go by next season and may even be able to catch the fall trail running at end of September/October.

Now, let's get back to the stoke. Looks like it's been shiite up there this week. Forecast is looking colder but dry (typical Junuary). New reports are that the La Nina cold ocean water is finally arriving. I got a feeling that late Jan and early Feb are going to go off up on the padded seats! Excited to live vicariously thru you guys.

Thats great there was no ligament damage. A few years ago I turned an ankle and had an avulsion fracture, doc told me bone was a lot easier to heal than ligament damage.

This evenings adventure was sponsored by goretex and grundens. Very saturated, but still skiing pretty good. Transitioned to snow a few towers below Armstrong offload.

Totaled their front end and deer and car parts sprayed over my car. Ran over the back of the dying deer. My daughter was a bit traumatized. Be careful out there.

How crazy was it today? Heading up tomorrow with my son in tow for first day of lessons and wondering if we need to be even earlier than last year.
If anyone wants to grab a lap I’ll be out blue coat tan pants red helmet and a dakine vest with Avy gear if the gate is open.

Skiied until about 8:30 tonight. Did 3 runs to make it official for the books, but it had frozen up pretty solid on the runout down to the lifts and I don't have very sharp edges. Decided to hit up Silver Fir on the way out because I haven't been over that way. Same deal, except lots of bumps and lots of meat missles. I'm finding I don't come back from minor scrapes like I used to, ribs still hurt from a fall on Christmas in fact, so the risk reward wasn't really my cup of tea.

Upper part off Armstrong was not bad, so I imagine if you can stay high tomorrow it will be okay. Groomers will probably be good for the first 10min, then scraped down to a hockey rink unfortunately.

Maybe late info for you, but get there earlier then last year. Arrived at 830 and parked in the second to last line of cars in upper lot. There was definitely Ikon power panic that should be lessened by today, but as someone who did lessons last year I was surprised at how full it was. Going to adjust my schedule 15 minutes for next week.

Parking lots were maxed today although we manage to find a spot at 10am. A mix of sun and clouds and chair two remained reasonably soft. Little to no lines. I guess everyone paid 50 bucks and snowshoeed up to source. /s

Total dickbag parking Saturday. Cars parked in the roundabout at Armstrong base and in the RV overnight lot. Maybe people thought paying for parking meant they were guaranteed a spot. Also never rode the lift with so many “first time here” boarders.

Were they traversing that slope? I guess they didn’t “space out” enough.

I think it must be. That's the one that Charlie Hagerdon has been worrying about from a multi-group perspective.
