    Hey peeps.
Watch your top knot. This isn't the time to ski complicated terrain solo. The guy in Porter would probably be hanging with his dog with a cool story if he had a partner.
Todays fatality was a solo too.
The control work in Porter this morning took out the skinner and nearly reburied the patient..
You ain't smarter then the snowpack..... and it's ok.... Bagg'n all the lines safely takes decades..

Pretty great last couple of days in the low angle neighborhood. Vibes to Lcc and millcreek incidents.

Vibes softex, about time to do my annual donation. Happy new year, hopefully you and the crew can relax a little tonight.

Vibes to the loved ones of the deceased. Two deaths before New Year's is rough.

Nice to have the High T finally open yesterday. The hike into thirds was interesting, but worth it. Alta is currently reporting over 1” of water but only 7” of snow overnight. Better bring the Gore-Tex this morning.

I wonder if the Porter Fork fatality was that last 50 yards before the pass with just enough steep terrain on the left to rip? Been up there many times solo and always cautious there.

That's where it looks to have occurred to me from the photos SL SAR posted last night.

Tough couple of days and tough way to close out the year, RIP to the two we lost this week.
    Stay safe out there

That's it.. He was in on the way down when he was buried, it looks like he hiked up to the north on the pass to get that shot....

Between the tragic fatalities, poor snowpack structure, PCMR situation, and holiday lines its been a rough week.

Here's some kid stoke from today to lighten the mood. My oldest just turned 6 and she was pumped that Yellow Bear opened up. She hunts out every possible bump in there to jump off of lol. Then she said she was ready to try the High T so we went out for her 1st lap to greeley..she crushed it!! Ended the day with some snowpine and big griz laps with her little bro. Trying to cherish days like these because I know this stage of life will be gone in a blink!

WBA announced today they've secured an agreement to fully restore public access to the Cardiff Fork road. Pretty great news and huge props to WBA.

Got out into a new zone today. Kept it lower elevation. Needs another 20”-30” for the lower areas to at least not suck.
