Also, I know not all of you are as savvy as I when it comes to social media. TBS, please take note:

"On Saturday, December 14, join us for the first-ever Piano Flow at the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center. Ski the candlelit trails under the stars while award-winning pianist Paula Dreyer serenades you with her beautiful piano music. Costumes, headlamps, and glow-in-the-dark attire are encouraged!"

If you were savvy about social media, you would know that NWX is scheduled to spin tomorrow Wednesday 12/11. No idea what conditions are like near the base, but I can report that it’s kinda bony at base of OBX.

I note that CCX went down “for maintenance” about 15 min before Summit spun. Does that mean there’s a max number of chairs that can run at the same time?

Yup NWX ran for the first time this year! And kept running!
OTOH OBX went down “for maintenance” this AM

Instead of asking the Ambassadors “what time will Summit open today?” I’m gonna start asking “which chair is going down ‘for maintenance’ in the middle of the day today?”

I thnk you may be on to something with all these maintenance issues. Perhap Bachelor really does have a maximum uphill throughput. Any more than their opaque number and it's nuts for the rest of us.

Anywhoozies... this storm cycle looks to be starting off quite and should deliver well into next week.

^^^Welp, all scheduled chairs ran until at least 1pm today. The exception that proves the rule?

Great day today. 3” of med density skied like butter. Viz kinda sucked.
    How bad was the viz?
Well I managed to launch into the stunt ditch under PMX.
At an angle approximating perpendicular to the ditch line.
No idea it was there before going airborne
Kept the helmet side above the p-Tex side thru out the maneuver but I’d rather not replicate that feat.

Maybe we ammend our theory to total daily uphill throughput. Which, based on your highly scientific observations, Bachelor reached at around 1pm and had to throttle back

Made it thru Sandy at 7:00. Slowed after Rhody. Stop and go 2 turns before the access road @ 7;50. HRM opened, parked 4th row

Sounds like the drive to Mt Brokenchair was a shitshow this AM as well.
Another good reason not to ski weekends.

And NWX shit the bed this AM. Stopped so abruptly people almost exited the chair. They got free lift tickets out of the deal.

That's what I heard too. But I'm jet lagged and on London time and was up early for a Cone lap and had a country club kind of morning at Bachelor. Was really nice to just lap PMX and OBX with no lift lines on a cream cheese pow day. Century. was still a hot mess at 11am and the only way to get up was the Sunriver route.

We were actually in the 3rd row, parked by 7:55. Main lot filled @ 8:16. All lots full by 10:15. The drive was nice, just wet roads until just past the 35/ 26 jct

The drive home was at least 20 min longer than up, shitty Ptown traffic

Toadman, it looks like you scored some sweet turns this morning but you've been living in the PNW too long if you use "cream.cheese" and "pow day" in the same sentence.

Took 3 hours to get to west village from Redmond - leaving at 7:15, which was my bad. Snow was thicker than expected but fun. Was 3 chairs from the top when NWX stopped at like 1 pm, which isn't exactly a cozy spot. Looked like it opened again soon after but didn't want to risk it. See ya tomorrow.

Hola Lady La Niña Oregon Winter 2024-2025

Yes, look at that rooster tail !!!

Got my season started yesterday - first turns and i remembered why i love to ski! Didn’t take long!

Too much work going on so sent the kid up today thinking he could use a buddy pass discount off my season pass and discovered that benefit no longer exists (miss you, sahale!)…so dynamic day ticket pricing = oof!

At least one of us gets to ski pow today — gonna see if I can get enough done to sneak out tomorrow with him…!
