The name is great. I don't like spices in my beer.

Vanilla and cinnamon are spices too. Most spiced rum is predominantly vanilla flavored, which is always yummy. Next time you’re through that area, hit up Red Shed Brewery too. Good stuff

Rum isn't beer. I don't like spices in my beer and I stand by that. I like my beer to taste like beer. Grey Goose vodka is good neat, I like to sip that. It's vanilla infused. Everything has a proper place.

US 20 from Sloansville to a bit west of Madison is a really pretty ride. While there is a fair bit of Upstate worn out going on there's a lot of good too and it's FAR more pleasant than the other E/W option. At one point I was driving along and looked over at a small hill and thought that the profile looked about right to make a nice little old skool community ski hill. As I got up to it I looked over and sure enough there were trails and an old lift line. This is the entrance now Click image for larger version.

ID:	494353 I have no idea what it used to be named. Funny thing is right after I passed it was the sign telling me I was in Brighton. It doesn't look like Utah but it does look like (if it snows) it would be fun skiing.

Hey M27 this is like the Samurai ancestor. It's perfect for tooling around the Upstate slow zones (because that's the only places it'll go) with skis sticking out the back. https://www.facebook.com/share/n62iP...ibextid=kL3p88

Awesome. Now M27, I think it’s time you give us the whole story.

First, where did you find the new ride? What’s her vintage and mileage? How far did you have to go for the pick up, etc?

Second, why the Trackers? Pure utilitarian value? You using a garden shed for a garage? Nostalgia for some youthful adventures/ conquests? I can’t be the only one who wants to know.

Where do you keep sourcing these time capsule Trackers man?

Respect. And also, what Brownski said.

I'll be flying into Cooperstown in a few days for a weeklong baseball tourney for the kid. The team will be in dorms so the wife and I will be on our own, and I have a feeling there will be a lot of downtime. Any suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc?

Is this a former military rig? The antenna mount on the back is interesting.
Looks great. Museum/collector piece. Not a daily driver especially with a two-stroke. It would be a shame to turn it into a farm rig.

3 breweries to visit in Cooperstown, a lake, the baseball hall of fame. I used to spend a lot of time over the hill in Roseboom and Cherry Valley. It is a pretty sleepy area

a tidy, garage kept 1998 chevy tracker ex rv toad with 84500 miles on ‘er… Pro Tip - these were very popular as toads and the odometer milage rarely reflects the actual driven miles.

why a tracker? why not? what better vehicle is available today at this price point? or any price point, really…

with antilock and studded snows, it fuckin’ rallies in the snow and can carry up to 9 pairs of skis in the passenger seat

it gots a full frame, none of that “unibody” bullshit

wheels are pushed out to the corners so it handles curves like a fuckin’ mini not some piece o’shit jeep

simple mechanical 4wd, none of that haldex $300 oil change limited slip bullshit

proper standard transmission so i don’t have to ride the gotdamned brakes all the way down the fuckin’ hill

1.6 liter engine with 96 fuckin’ horses that produce 94 lb-ft of torque @3300 rpm

proper convertible so the chicks can see exactly how cool i look whilst cruisin’ the strip with the wind blowin’ through what’s left of my hair

    no fuckin’ infotainment system

it gets me where i’m goin’ and back agin…

And it has one of if not the oldest covered bridges in the state. Oneonta is close and that's a pretty cool town too.
