I’m sorry, but if someone is shoving me while brandishing a weapon, that is in fact a big deal.

Every firearm owner knows damn well the standards for behavior are higher when you are carrying.

If I understand the situation correctly, the roads are private, gun dude and his neighbors pay to maintain them. Gun dude takes exception to the fact that boarder bro is on his private road.

Hypothetically, If boarder bro is on the way back to his airbnb which is also on that private road, would the rental agreement gain him temporary access to said private road?

Neither of those exist here. An apologetic snowboarder taking the shortest and most obvious path off the property (And not being told otherwise) does not deserve assault.
yuurrrr ....personally enjoying the civilized debate

definitions matter most here...big difference between reasonable force and assault. From the video it all depends if land owner was within the right to claim trespass. ...If he was on public land at that encounter it was definitely assault....If it was his private land it was reasonable force IMO.

we still dont know his side of the story

What was the encounter with the 2 skiers before the snowboarder arrived???... Property owner can easily claim he warned the group they were trespassing and they ignored him and kept riding through his property and he considered that a threat...but again all depends if he had the right to do so.....trespassing can escalate quickly and is no joke.

My neighbors and I pay to maintain the roads in our subdivision, but we can't stop people from driving on them to access a public trailhead. A "private" road isn't the same as private property. If it's a driveway that only goes to your house, that's a different situation.

Your second paragraph is either really stupid or incredibly naive

I thought the gimp comment made it obvious I was joking around?

Ha if that was remotely true we wouldn't have a gun problem.

Anyways - back to problems about parking reservations and how long it took everyone to get back home from Alta! Let's stop arguing and see those red snake pics. Anyone see a guy with front wheel drive today?

    Got me drooling

Land ownership on a boiling rock in space is cosmically stoopid. Gotta have order so we can accomplish more than splitting coconuts open with rocks, but it's stupid all the same.

Pow Mow changing their pricing model for passes. No caps on passes.

    - $1399 for returning pass holders

    General onsale:
    - $1499 for a limited number of passes

and then prices go up and up and up based on numbers sold. No comment from them on how many per a tier.

They are getting off the indy pass (comment in their instagram video) and instagram video they'll 'never be on ikon or epic'

    Parking:
Can I expect the parking to change for next year?
While we are confirming our details for parking in 2024/25, you can expect that in addition to our current system of first come/first served, we’re working to incorporate paid parking, carpool incentives, and increased bus and shuttle service to best accommodate all guests.

It'll be interesting to ski a resort that are literally on zero passes but their own and they upcharge and keep the whole bag. Will it work? Also hesitant to try this in year 1. Has shit show written all over it as they adjust to new capacity.

At this point I’m pivoting to something different to occupy my time in the winter. This sport is pricing me out of what I feel is affordable to enjoy it.

The scales have tipped for me skiing this state. Besides a Nordic or Beaver day, or potentially a trip to Brian Head, I’m done. Can’t afford it.

Haven’t seen LCC/BCC skiing in many years already as that shit show outweighs the fun for me.
Ogden mountains are right behind them.

It’s time to start planning my exit from this state.

Buzz, An Indy pass, might be the ticket. We left the Wasatch 8 years ago and have never looked back save for health care at the U of U.

While I agree and left the Wasatch a long time a go and love the Indy Pass. The unspoken cost of travel, lodging , , and food on the road take away some of its greatness.

This is bullshit, no gun. How dare you post info like this. Your twitter friend sent a message to a Marshal about a gun. Bad deal to say the least.

Sounds like most of you guys haven't been caught trespassing. From my experiences this guy is the norm.

So, let me get this straight... accidentally passing through somebody's property to clearly get to a public (or semi public) road is serious enough to be threatened with a weapon. yeah... that makes alot of sense.

what is the guy "protecting"? asking seriously. is he worried that somebody will set up camp? get hurt and sue him? steal from him? or is it simply a guy who wants an excuse to use, or at the very least, show off his gun (or guns).

Hello. Welcome to the Internut. And to the forum.

Out of common courtesy, and since you are very upset about it, I will edit the post to remove the screenshot.

BTW, there are no "Twitter friends" here. Many of us here follow that account, and that appeared in the replies. If you have any issues, address them with the original poster on that platform.

Be kind to others out there.
