Well that makes more sense I see what your up to now. Looks just like the valley will when you get the ridge installed out back.
Will somebody put away the dishes and empty the garbage ferchrissake?!?
I think I've said it before but, Upstate Rhode Island = Upstate NY in sooo many ways.

That is some finesse tarpology right there. No flapping corners or tattered edges. Almost looks like they trimmed it to fit.
Bespoke tarpitecture.
I’d love to know the story behind a place like that.
I still call it The Jake.
Wtf is up with the window in the chimney?
That's a feature.

I thought the bats lived in the belfry?
I still call it The Jake.
The only problem I see is that it’s hard to imagine your average upstater putting in all that effort on the costume. More realistic would be a 3 cornered hat from the gift shop at Fort Ticonderoga and whatever t shirt he was already wearing. That guy looks like a New England try- hard to me
I think the important bits are in no particular order:
- A funny hat
- A bell tower from which to yell
- Happy Hour
I still call it The Jake.
Agreed
Also, I spent some time upstate. Probably doesn’t justify a full TR (my wife kept me out of trouble today) but this place deserves some praise- it’s located right outside of North South Lake State campground….
They’ve got everything a forgetful camper might need.
Heh heh, that ain’t a knife…. This is a knife!
Don’t try to make a call though.
If I had one of these it would go up in my living room from now until forever. My wife really dodged a bullet that this wasn’t for sale.

General Stores like that are fucking rad and a quintessential part of summer. Great mini TR.
Brings back a lot of great childhood memories riding bikes or boats to places like that with my buds.
LOL at the payphone booth.
I still call it The Jake.
Oh I forgot. I snapped this pic of some youngsters headed out for a hike. 3 out of 4 are about what I’d expect, small backpacks, probably full of snacks and drinks and such. But check out the dude in the blue shirt.
All he needs is his trusty hatchet.
