As another recent C-list transplant, it has been quite interesting. I think its going to keep going up around here, until we really start to run out of water.

Not to further derail, but Tester made it two democratic senators. Baucus was in office then, too.

You don’t need to read a lot of history to know that Montana has a liberal heritage that was homegrown. The mining and railroad companies spawned a deep resentment and resistance among miners, ranchers, and farmers. And until recent decades, Montana voters prided themselves on splitting tickets and voting for candidates over parties.

with low elevation and proximity to the Great Basin,
i doubt warner canyon can last another decade before the snow disappears .....

OP could buy Iron Mountain in CA and have his own ski area.

Sorry I thought Spout Springs was your last stand

In that case, OP, here’s a resort you could own, probably for less than a 3br/2ba house in Portland

He only got 3 viagra left and is low on oxygen. Give him a break. It is our fault.

I, for one, wanted him to Google.

Spout is too small. Warner seems interesting but in reality it’s too low in elevation. I bet the ski touring up from the summit would be great though

Actually, brian head seems like a sweet little mountain... I think I have only heard of it mentioned once or twice. How is park city and steamboat on that list lol.

The fact that Park Shitty is even on that list throws the entire article into question. Park Shitty lands solidly on the top 5 biggest cunt show lists. Maybe that’s a topic for another thread.

Pretty much every resort in BC constitutes a 'powder resort' and outside of Whistler and a couple of the other big players they are all empty 95% of the time.

Wenatchee sure does sound "sustainable and normal." From the Seattle Times today:

"According to an analysis of all U.S. metro areas by Bloomberg, Wenatchee has risen fastest in the rankings of America’s costliest places to live since 2010."

In 2010, the Wenatchee metro was the 194th-costliest metro in the nation. Skip ahead to 2021, Wenatchee is now ranked as the 36th-costliest U.S. metro, and climbed 158 spots in the rankings since 2010, the most of any metro area in the entire country.

Leavenworth homes now cost nearly the same as Seattle (median home-listing price in Leavenworth is around $749,000, Seattle’s $814,000).

Oh, Leavenworth is Wenatchee? Gotcha. There’s lots of working class people in this valley. Real jobs and the entire economy isn’t based on real estate and tourism down here. It’s expensive and desirable but you call it shitty. Which is it? Stay in Tacoma loser

The article is about Wenatchee metro. Bottom line, because of people like Unicorn constantly bragging how awesome it is Wenatchee has gone from a sleeper affordable place to live to one of the most expensive metro areas of the nation, and without an increase in local wages to support the high costs.
