They are 2021 189s. I too am waiting anxiously for more 2022 BG info. This purchase just rekindled the goatherding fire for sure.

Understandable that you'd want a pair of BGs in the quiver, but thought you did not like the asym? It sounded like the 192 2022 version would be closer to an AEV unicorn ski, but then again - finding skis that have yet to be launched at bargain prices is a bit difficult and the current model is no slouch.

Oh I’ll definitely be getting some new goats in the near future.

This being the last 189 of that era of goat, which I never tried, I felt some pressure to grab.

I had some 189 2017 pre asyms that I loved the sizing. I still want to try both the 187 and 19X

I don’t love asym on firmer snow, but it’s really more of an annoyance on some skis than an actual issue. It doesn’t hook up weird or anything for me, I just don’t like how each side of the ski performs a little differently. When I’m rallying down the hill in firm, sometimes I feel like I’m in a car with steering that’s pulling a little more to one side..when on an asym ski. Idk how else to describe my issue with it.

I felt this on Supergoats, Praxis Quixotes, and Marksmans. However, I did not feel this on my first year asym C&Ds, and it seems like those had “less” asym. Looking at the pictures, reading reviews, I’m getting the feels the asym on these 2018-2021s isn’t dramatic. And if it is, the solution is to only ski it in soft snow, which I plan on anyways with this ski. I don’t have any issues with aysm whatsoever when the snow is soft.

I had a brief chat with Iggy a few days ago and the line will drop later on this month.

Apparently Covid is a gift that keeps on giving, delaying stuff and causing some supply chain issues that need be resolved ahead of the launch - so yay Covid.

But still - happy times, I can't wait - should be the best one yet from where the line is heading.

Just added these WD 108’s Tour to the quiver in a 187. Skied my last day at Squaw on em today and they rage. Light and easy to flip around in all sorts of turn shapes. Already have 116’s and they’re trucks but these 108’s really are quick and can trench.....so friendly and fun.

I love my ON3Ps, but "trench" is not a word I would use to describe any of them so far...that's the only fault I can ever pick out about them.

If ON3Ps could lay trenches they would truly be the best skis out there. Love the feel of the core and layup but never liked any of the shapes I’ve tried on hard snow... but that’s not really their thing so I can’t fault them.

Speed limit is non-existent. However high edge angles and clean arcs on hard pack? Haven’t seen an on3p that can do that yet. One of the reasons I switched from a woodsman 116 to a volkl revolt 121 for my dd in the pnw. Despite the girth of the revolts those skis can lay down some clean turns.

Viciks and 191 Wrens could trench. They weren’t great for heart carving small radius turns, but they could carve trenches of their stated long radii.

Maybe the maritime snow lends an ON3P trench better than conti pack......dunno but I do know I love to carve the shit outta all mine and they do just fine for my needs

My Wren 108s carve/trench/lay turns/whatever the fuck you want to call it pretty decent for a 108 on hard snow IMO. They do have a lot of tip splay of course but not a problem on edge.

There are definitely better skis for ripping groomers but I still take my 12/13 191 Wrens (113 waist, 30m rad) out for every groomer zoomer day. They need speed but can 100% trench if you know how to bend a ski.

no, the light rider specific Jessie (version of Jeffrey) and Mera (to be launched version of Woodsman, should have been launched last year) lines of skis were only avaliable through custom this year because of Covid. ON3P prioritized lines of skis that shift more units and did not want to blow a graphic on skis that would only be made in extremely limited quantities.

Expect both lines to be re-launched in the to be released any day now 2022 lineup, probably with pretty banging graphics. Or get them through custom with one of these two graphics, and any lady - or guy for that matter - will want to go skiing with skis that look this awesome. I do not know if the former will be avaliable as a custom option, but the latter has been featured a lot on ON3P Insta stories lately, so will probably be an option.

New women's Woodsman-variant called the Mera - comes in 102 to start. 162/167/172.

JESSIE
Jessie 108 goes custom only (+ new core profile/layup), and adds a 102.
Updated radius on the 96 + new core profile/layup.

also, this should be fun for customs this summer - I am really curious to try woods with Ti.

TI on CUSTOM
Woodsman 96/102/108 and Jeffrey 96/102/108 will be available with Titanal on custom.
We hadn't planned bringing metal to the BG because I just truly don't know who that would be for, but if there is interest we could make it happen.
