Keep in mind the 184 was a 186 with a bigger twin tip which was a bigger ski than the 188 s7

You guys are way too nice. [emoji6]
Can we all agree that the metal layered Super 7 is a lousy ski by today’s standard?
In constant pursuit of the perfect slarve...
Sarcasm is tough to call on these forums. Those 188s have had their time and were retired for the Bibbys. Looking at filling out a quiver on a budget now. Thanks for all the feedback.
Either size is going to work, but at you weight 189s will provide more float and be more stable - more likely than not without a significant loss in nimbleness.
If you can get 184s at a steal than trying them could be the correct option, though most mags will say that the longer ski is the better one.
For reference, I am 175cm/67kg nekkid (that translates to pretty small over yonder), am on 184s and have never felt them to be too much ski. In fact, I prefer 184s to 179s - I have had both. Remember, BGs are pretty flat underfoot with long rocker zones, a ton of splay and significant shape taper (rear ski narrower than the front). As such, while a 189 BG is 2-3cm longer than your old Wildcats straight pull, the 190 WC might very well still feel longer in a few scenarios due to their longer effective edge, their camber camber and their wider tails, or inversely - the BG's mount point, rear ski taper & pin tails. I would not hesitate to size up on BGs.
Ignore the tgr "hardcores"... I think you'll be stoked on the 184’s.
I'm 6'2 and absolutely love my 186’s (nearly the same as 184’s but without as much length in twin tip). Yes, I've also got 189’s and they do float better, but the shorter length is still respectable float-wise. If I were 5'11, I'd personally go 184. Ya you may be out a bit on the deepest pow days, but on 99% of days with fresh snow you'll be fucking pumped on the 184.
Agree. Love my 184 BG and I'm a bigger guy also.

Bigger (swole 220) guy. I have been on every generation of the BG and every size between 191 and 184. You will be more than fine on the 184 and likely quite happy. The differences in the size range have not really been measurably big enough waffle either way.

Eruption!
I just had a unprecedented lateral eruption
Def 110s.
Holy crap - those look amazing. Can't wait to see the rest of the line.
So Woodsman 108's are now 110's?
They look incredible! Bodes well for the rest of the line-up.
I could be wrong but I think widths are going 110, 118 across the lines for 2022
Only if you’ve got donuts on it.
