Parking should not be a problem. Mammoth is different than places like Squaw, Bachelor, Brighton or something like the Collins base at Alta. There is no big base parking lot. There a couple of rows in the different areas and then parking along the road. You will probably be skiing out of Main or Mill. You can drop off your gear if really want to and go park. It could be a little walk or hope on the bus.

Mammoth Mountain Inn is the ski in ski out option from Main. https://www.themammothmountaininn.co...283.1615089723

I’m sorry Benny. Next time I won’t guess and won’t bother.

    Ikon Pass

Was just in Mammoth last week. Every time I leave there I find myself thinking how fucking great it is and I need to make the drive more often. I just hope the Woah Nellie Deli in LV opens up again soon (if you know, you know).

And yeah it has some of the best spring skiing on the planet.

Ffs dude it’s a forum. If he googled Main Lodge he would find the Inn. Not that hard. Not like I told him that it might be Eagle Lodge.and it is fucking Benny asking the forum to be his concierge when he could spend five minutes doing some research and then posting in the Mammoth thread to ask questions about mammoth.

Something tells me that both of us are so uncool and un core that we would actually share parking tips with each other, so, yeah, I guess.

I'd be interested to know who was finally awarded those free ikon passes from Ottime, and whether or not they were put to good use or just wasted.

    Ikon Pass

Blackalps and Leroy Jenkins if memory serves me correctly. I’d need to look through my inbox. Hopefully they are put to good use and hopefully we have more to put to good use in the future. Might enlist some if you influencer types to find the best candidates.

    Major changes?

For 21/32 or the next season after that?

I’m hoping for five days at Dodge Ridge.

So I just called IKON. This may not be new news to you guys but they said that anyone that differed their 20/21 pass has to wait until April 19th to use that money for the 21/22 pass. I have been kind of easy going with IKON through all this but I think that is BS

Makes sense to me. The point of deferral was to let people roll their pass over to the next season if they chose not to use it at all, not to let them ski the tail end of the current one. Judging by the response last year by all the disappointed people who bought IKON passes in order to do ski trips in March and were shut out, there were probably a lot of folks who bought passes for this season who planned to defer them in the hopes they could use next season's pass to ski this one in March. That strikes me as gaming the system and I don't blame IKON for deferring the credit until 4/19.

It only cuts out 7 days of use anyway. Not a big deal.

How about all the people who planned on using their pass last season during March, like Benny?

You already got as much as Ikon was going to give you, when you bought a renewal 2020-21 pass, and Ikon offered a discount to 2019-20 pass holders for renewal in 20-21.

That's exactly who I'm talking about. IKON could certainly been more generous but I think the assurance they offered was fair--at least it was fair enough to get people to buy. Buying a pass if you don't live driving distance from an Alterra resort is always going to be a crap shoot. I'm no fan of IKON--I would just as soon buy a local pass for less, but I don't have that option.

Benny--you're retired, why don't you move to western ski country (other than the fact that you have to be rich to do that now).

If I remember correctly they offered the same renewal discount the year before. And that's as far as my memory goes, until it picks up again about HS.
