If you can, Mammoth airport.
Otherwise Reno is closest but can have a rough drive in weather.
Las Vegas? Ontario?
Fly into RNO and do a couple of days in Tahoe and Mammoth
Great late spring venue.
Now I'm really happy I rolled my 20/21 pass over to next season just last week. Never used it.
Try BDL - RNO or BDL - FAT (Fresno)
But LGA - RNO will be cheaper http://https://www.expedia.com/Fligh...trip=roundtrip

I did. It fucking ruled. I must be impervious to corona.

Hey Dude,
I’ve been out at Mammoth everyday this week. Even with the low snowfall this winter, skiings been really good all week long. Snow is smooth and fast winter chalk up high, springy down low on the South & East sides of the Mtn. Best of all, during mid week it’s been empty.
This is from today looking up towards the top of chair 23. Both sides of the chair line skied well and with the smooth wind pack snow and empty slopes, people were arcing high speed laps til closing. Super fun.
Today’s Strava stats. In 4 hours I got in 26 runs & just over 26,000 vert. Skied right on to the chair almost everytime.
If you’ve never been to Mammoth my word of advice is
“Mid week, non holiday.” During the holidays/weekends Mammoth is a whole different animal.
Credit for deferred passes posts 4/19, so limited spring skiing on 20/21 pass.
Ottime, using credit through group buy should work?
Damn.
How's Mammoth late April? Does Yosemite get crowded then? Never been to either.
Yosemite is a long drive from mammoth until the pass opens, typically in June.
Eastern Sierra has some of the best spring and summer skiing as anywhere. Mammoth being known for quite regularly being open until 4th of July.
yosemite is always crowded.
Not a humble brag but just to assert what ESS said about mid week.
I was there during Presidents week and logged between 30-35k per day and I was skiing with my wife and kid after noon. So like 20k plus by noon.
There is really no one around on that hill. Only consistent line was G1 and that was often just 5 minutes. Avoid certain lifts at certain hours of the day and even the holiday ski week ain’t bad at all.
Benny, when Tioga Pass is closed to cars you can ski into Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite NP up Tioga Pass Rd--just 16 miles from Lee Vining.
