don't have any cop buddies thank you, although I am an annual donor to our local fire+police survivors fund.

but if drugs were not such a massive problem, why does the cop shows show the cops putting gloves on many times they are searching someone and usually ask about possibly getting stuck by a needle if they search; they did not do this just 10 years ago.

but that's okay, this trend is just part of the decline we're on; tgr is just largely too young, inexperienced or narrow to see it.

Listen then to a not young and more experienced poster. AIDS, dumbass, AIDS. Maybe poop, but certainly protection from aids.

Please detail the scientifically proven levels of impairment for each drug in the systems of dead drivers.

Please post percentages of people with same drugs in their systems who died every other fucking way.

Please explain logic of stupid fucking statement in bold.

Ignoring everything else you wrote in that post- how are you so sure about this, other than just using 'your gut feeling'?

Is there a data set available chronicling age of posters, and other such details?

Having a sheet of information like that would be very interesting to look at. Hell, I'd just love to use it to create some cool interactive graphics for the TGR crowd (any line on who/where to start that conversation?).

But unless you have hard numbers to back up that claim, making such a statement is useless and only detracts from your credibility.

I blame the doctors who prescribe them. Handing out whatever the last pharma rep left behind. They don’t do any research, you are their lab rat.

I wonder if any of them ever feel any guilt when they hear their patient jumped off a bridge?

Inconsolable Jeff Sessions Tries To Commit Suicide By Smoking Joint

WASHINGTON—Following months of bruising criticism from Democrats and President Trump alike, an inconsolable Jeff Sessions was reportedly trying to commit suicide Thursday by smoking a joint. “I swore I’d never take the coward’s way out, but what choice do I have?” said a teary-eyed Sessions, carefully laying a sealed envelope containing his farewell note on a tool bench in his garage as he raised a lighter to the marijuana cigarette with trembling hands. “This is it. I’ve taken four puffs to make sure there’s no chance of survival. It should only be a matter of minutes now. Oh, what a wretched, ignominious ending. Goodbye, cruel world, I’m sorry I’ve failed you so.” At press time, Sessions reportedly realized he had died after being overcome by a euphoric, floating feeling.

we were in Portugal last month and we asked a couple of 30 ish tour guides about the heroin

They said that everybody of their parents generation had an instance of Heroin addiction in their family so they just called it a sickness and treated it as such

"I am an unapologetic drug user. I take drugs as part of my pursuit of happiness, and they work. I am a happier and better person because of them. I am also a scientist and a professor of psychology specializing in neuroscience at Columbia University, known for my work on drug abuse and addiction. It has taken me more than two decades to come out of the closet about my personal drug use. Simply put, I have been a coward.
    ...
The use of drugs in the pursuit of happiness, in my view, is arguably an act that the government is obliged to safeguard."

He's not just referring to weed or shrooms. He uses heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine regularly. He did a pretty good TED talk in 2015, though he didn't discuss his personal drug use at the time:

What's with all the old threads getting bumped lately? Have we run out of new topics to discuss or is everyone just feeling nostalgic?

He was on Rogan a few weeks ago, very well spoken casual Heroin, MDMA and Cocaine user.

That book was released January 12, so bumping an existing thread about about drug legalization with new shit seemed appropriate. It's also extra funny to read old posts in this thread, many of which are from members I deeply respect, saying "OMFG we couldn't possibly legalize meth and heroin, it will be Armageddon!" and then here's this PhD neuroscientist at Columbia who's been one of the premier researchers in the field of drug abuse and addiction for 20 years saying he regularly uses heroin, cocaine and meth and doing so has made him a happier healthier person.

Well I think I missed this one so I'll throw my 2 cents in.

I think there is a very large difference between casual weed use, and casual heroin use. My line is somewhere between those two.

Cool. Now I'm even more fascinated that you actually found a relevant 3 yr old thread to bump with this new info. I can't even find the MLB thread if it drifts past page 2.

Most people aren’t disciplined enough to regularly use hard drugs and not ruin their lives.

You have to space out usage to curb addiction and tolerance building.

It’s hard to space out usage. I’ve tried.
