    This Whole Groundhog Thing

it makes no sense to me.

If the groundhog sees his shadow, presumably because it's not cloudy and dark (i.e. sun?), he gets scared and runs back in his burrow indicating it will be another 6 weeks of winter.

If it's cloudy and dark and he doesn't see his shadow he hangs out in the dank weather and calls it Spring.

Silly groundhog. Shouldn't the opposite be true?

Groundhog Day is an observance but it is not a public holiday in the United States.

6 weeks is probably more like 12 weeks nowadays, as i'm thinking winter will start some time in April or May.

Hmmmm, when I get dressed I'll have to think about that. Maybe some nice red heels with my skinny jeans?

As an observance. Fourth column from the left "Holiday type." Column title is confusing. Should be just "type"

If I put your name on a list of erudite and uneducated it wouldn't make you intellectual.
