It’s against the rules to cross tracks! That would be sweet though.

Alrightttttt so this terrible weather in Utah had me contemplating a trip up to bachelor around the holidays, but it does appear the entire two weeks of parking reservations are blocked off.

So assuming they're doing the same as their powdrcorp sister resorts (snowbird), the parking reservations are just that - for parking. If you can otherwise get up there - you can ski.

Does anyone know what the parking situation outside the resort looks like? It looks like there's a sno park right across the street, and then another two 5ish miles away. If I got a spot at the the closer one (which will probably be impossible) then I've got it made. The further ones would be a bit more dicey. Not sure if I want to start my morning with a 5 mile skin....

And of course there are the shuttles from Bend, but im guessing that will be a dumpster fire this year.

I'd suggest asking this question on the dedicated Oregon thread: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...-Season-Thread

Concur with question. Three tours in this season and nothing but crust. Being an area newb is tehsuckz
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

The challenge is to get above 4500 on N. exposures. Most of these are either right next to lift served areas or a long slog in.

Crystal was a mixed bag today. 3 inches fresh protected midmountain, but everything above and below got pretty well boned after a freezing fog set everything up like concrete. Crunchy. No pics, make room for Rif to post up some more of those gems. Bravo

If you don't have a sled, it's a moot question anyway. And if you do have a sled, it would already be top of list.

It's almost not worth posting a pic of Crystal, but WTH....

I'd be curious to hear a conditions report from Xtal today if anyone gets up there.

There was a layer of moist talc over crusts of varying firmness. The crusts changed in weird places, mid mountain was good as was high up in the shade. Crunchy halfway down the frontside though. Iceberg lived up to its name.

6 skied great. Some rocks showing on the traverse, but overall coverage is awesome for Nov 20. Hamburger deeeelivered.
Ripped around on the old loti, just a gas.

Was a family day, early season, got up late (~11:00) and got in almost 4 hours.

Lucky Shot is getting some rocks showing but the frontside is in great shape given the date.

Crustal was solidly in the rain shadow hole today with blue skies overhead and snow falling on the Three Way ridge and into Morse Creek and Crystal Lakes Basin. By 2:00, the storm had surged over Rainier and precip was increasing as we left at 3:00. Multiple freezing levels were apparent and likely the cause of the oddball crusts.

    I love to ski.
