    Aw, that sucks!
I was 12 when my folks took me to the old Jack Tar in about 76 for a celebration/meet & greet after Bob Lurie bought the team to prevent the proposed sale to LaBatts and move to Toronto. Got to meet some players, get some autographs, one I got was Willie McCovey! Still got it somewhere, packrat that I am.

At least he got to see the Dodgers blow the WS one last time

Got to see McCovey play at the Stick. I just don't remember much being so long ago. A Giant icon though. RIP

He should move the whole thing to Florida. It would fit right in down there.

Ha. I just remembered a party in Miami at this place back in 2000-ish.
    https://miami.curbed.com/2015/7/20/9...-burkes-castle.

Burke's place had a moat and a drawbridge and he pumped seawater into the moat which had 5' sharks swimming around in it. The whole thing looked like a castle. He had a replica of Excalibur that was in a large stone. Best I could figure he had some sort of remote control that released a magnet that allowed you to pull the sword out. If you managed to pull the sword out you got a mirror of blow. None of the guys could pull the sword out, but somehow the hot women managed. Crazy dude.

Mookie winning AL MVP may have been the biggest no brainer in sports.

When I saw him put the 18th pitch in the seats against Happ when he was still a Jay, I said out loud to whomever was in earshot at Fenway, "that's the best hitter in baseball "
