I didn't think they were really that good this year. They barely squeaked by a lesser Rockies team to win their division. The Brew Crew took them to seven games. My yardstick is the Cubs and the Cubs had a down year but they still beat the Dodgers 4-3 for regular season games. Just not a great year for the NL in general.
Cubs and Dodgers were kinda in the same boat this year. Neither team really looked like champion material. Neither team had a solid grip on their division. Both teams had to go big with rent-a-players to patch up big holes. Their engines rarely had all the cylinders firing and they'd go from looking great one week to just sputtering along the next.

Wouldn't it be a lot of fun if Machado showed up in pinstripes next year? Haha.
Good luck with that guy. What about Didi though?
For chrissakes, what's with all the scraggly beards? Looks like a TGR meetup.
I blame Brian Wilson.

Best Sox Team ever? Hard not to love them.
Didi's a JAG who gets a few extra cheap homers by virtue of tiny Yankee Stadium. Machado is a star with on base skills. You replace Didi with Machado ten times out of ten if you are trying to win now and you don't have a glaring need to spend the money on elsewhere.
That was a fun Sox team to watch, and they got past some quality teams in the postseason. I'm glad that Price proved me wrong this fall.
Huh I think Didi fields the position a lot better, hustles, and is a net positive to the team. And he's not a cancer. Plus I think he's expected to be back by July. And he's under contract for 2 more years at like $2.5. Despite 10 less HR's and 20 less RBI's I'd keep him 11 times out of 10 over Machado (if he can play) myself but hey that's me.
Plus Yanks don't allow cornrows.

No Machado. Focus on keeping Betances and getting another starter.

He'd have to be.
Dave Roberts is a paint-by-numbers manager, at best. He's also clearly a tool of the current Dodger's front office. Doyers had enough talent to beat the red socks, or at least provide some real competition. Someone posted a few days ago- why are they coming out with the scrub lineup? Trying to one-up Billy Ball without first understanding what Billy Ball was all about. This team will always suck under current leadership. If you really believe that los Doyers lost simply because the Red Socks are so great, you're seriously fucking stupid. Must admit, though, that they did lose to a better team.

^^^ You must be great fun to hang out with.
It was a great season and a great playoff season.
Congrats Socks and their fans.
