Totally awesome and thanks for the stoke.

I opened the page to bitch about something. The stoke almost dissuaded me, but I gotta get it off my chest.

To the green-jacketed Bachy employee skiing down sunrise trees just below Roostertail on Monday,

Fuck you sir! You don't know shit about shit. The next time you feel like educating, slow down and put your heart into it. That way I have a chance to explain why you're wrong in front of my kid so he can learn how not to be an indignant JONG when approaching other skiers from uphill.

    Signed,

That guy in the yellow jacket. I welcome your PM if you're on TGR. You are a fucktard and will be met with hostility

And for the record, no... this isn't a situation with 2 sides to the story. Our family had paused on a line off the beaten path that no one else could ski based on where we were standing. As said JONG approached, I turned to drop back into the main line after him. I was literally waiting for him to ski by to be courteous (green Bachy jacket, so I didn't know if he was teaching or what... figured we'd let him go by). But I guess he thought I was about to go bonzai on his line even though I'd been staring at him for a solid 30 seconds and tells me something to the effect of "hey buddy, you need to look uphill before dropping in next time!"

I'm very big on educating my kid on not cutting across peeps' lines and checking uphill before doing anything other than what you had been doing, stationary or not, and this wasn't remotely like that. Guy was either taking a solo lap or teaching a private lesson on Sunrise round about 10am on Monday. If you know who that is, tell him to fuck on off. If you are him, fuck on off. Woulda been happy to talk this out with you if you'd stopped. Instead I'm carrying around this hate. Not fair to me or to other green-jacketed Bachy peeps.

Today was a good day. Only had time for a big picture shot. If you're on here, thanks for breaking trail along the S boundary.

today was the boy's best day on skis by far and our best day skiing together. 7 long gully runs nonstop in the deepest powder he's ever been in. he got stuck several times and dug himself out without a single complaint. he would have kept going but we had to leave. no lines, not nearly so many aggro assholes around kids. great day and he made great strides. the future is now.

2+” in Eugene so far, downside of working from home is that I don’t get a snow day!

I was stoked that there was enough coverage for the west side of the bowl last night. Good workout!

Jealous of anyone out at ALMR today. Just read the Bert's report and they have new snow and a forecast high of 7 degrees. Snow at Hood has been kinda ok but they are getting the goods.

Anthony Lakes was like winning the lottery only better in terms of snow quality. Snow doesn't ever get that dry out here. To be fair they get their share of down right miserable weather in the Elkhorns so they kinda deserve a payday now and then.
