What's a television?
(Yeah, telemetry)
Thanks for the breakdown. I was just going by the NWACS hour by hour thing moving up from 88 to 100.
Gonna go buy a GoPro and rest up for tomorrow!

Don't forget, if you're looking at the total snow depth column, you need to consider snow settlement. So the 24 hour column gives a better measure of well...how much it snowed in 24 hours. Either way, it's deep!

I love my family. Kids are the best.

Seriously considering my first ever weekday off work tomorrow. Would need a buddy tho for tree well safety and such. lemme know if you'll be up and wouldn't mind a few charity laps.

nice pics of the kid, mattig!
I made the mistake of scheduling a mtg tomorrow (it’s been in the calendar for a while now, can’t back out), but looking at Tuesday (doesn’t help access the goods unless it’s too deep to safely open Monday)
I will be coming up for sho with another guy and possibly a lady. I plan to park at HRM lot. I will dress for easy spotting - just look for the brightest looking Korean wearing green jacket, red pants, no helmet. A friend I am coming up with is a French Canadian ...maybe we can have “Chinese downhill” in the spirit of Pyeongchang.
Let me know once you made up your mind. If you like I can set the Pontoon for your boot sole length and your preferred din setting.
My ETA to HRM lot is 8:00-8:15. Blue Subie wagon. Bright blue jacket
I'll be in the main lot by 7, tomorrow, for a south boundary tour, if anyone wants to join or just say hi.

GPOs rock in soft snow
Carry on
I like to sleep in as long as I can. In weekdays HRMX doesn’t spin until 9 so I’ll probably roll into parking lot 8:30ish - dark grey TRD 4runner.
K2 skier and Matt (if you can make it), lets plan on meeting right outside the lodge just before 9 ...it’s BS trying to look for people once we get going.
Keep it mellow, fatkid...shit is reactive and will be tomorrow
If I go, I will be forced to park in main because I'll have to be on the laptop from 5am to 9am and then probably again for an hour at lunch. Market-related so it's not something I can reschedule. Sucks, but it pays the bills.
I'll know by this evening if I'm going to try. I tried once for a fishing day a few years ago and ended up with my head under a blanket trying to type a couple thousand words on my phone because shit hit the fan. Training a protege but it's pretty nichey stuff.
Did Heather stay closed all day today? If so, that gives me a push, but still less that 50/50 on my attendance.
Boar, I had a pretty good day on my Gunsmokes yesterday, and I'm not sure 179 on the toons is quite enough for my fat ass, but if they can accommodate 318bsl I'll check them out (don't go to any trouble for tomorrow though as I'm too wishy washy on making it there).

SSX & Heather closed at noon today
&
I was able to reschedule my Mon mtg to Fri
Today was my first day on them. 192cm, stiffest flex. Incredibly stable and easy to turn in 6” of windpacked fluffiness. Well worth the $365 I paid for skis & axials. Now we need moar deepness.
Clamps are set at 317, so try them out next visit.
See if iggy will loan you a pair of demo goats for a long weekend. Or check with Gepmeow, he’s got a pair but I don’t know his boot size.
Still not sure I can make it work, but I'll shoot you a text if I do.

I’m most likely heading into Portland tonight. Any care to give some insight on roads? I’d be renting a car, 4x4? Just snow tires? Thanks
Portland metro roads are black
For heading to Hood or over the passes, you need "traction devices", which means mountain/snowflake tires, studs, or chains (an exception allows 4x4, not towing, <6500lbs, all-seasons or M/S, if no chain reqt)
Check the cams on ODOT tripcheck for a visual on road coverage
(i believe roads have snow on them above 1000 ft)
Freezing elevation is low just now (<1000') and will stay low tomorrow, but precip on Hood is receding as the night proceeds into tomorrow
Yes 4×4 highly recommended.
This was my wife's birthday week, been praying for snow since we planned it 6 months ago with inlaws and grandma and friends coming fro m Vermont and California, stayed in Govy for the week.
Skied Tuesday - Saturday. All memories are now blurred by the powder flying over my head all week, seriously epic Meadows moment. Heather was all time Wednesday,
but memories of a very blustery Saturday with refills overflowing are really freshies in my mind.
Drive save out there, the 2 hours 2 Roddy was interesting last night.
