I’m going to stay home today & see how the storm comes in. MHM was pretty grim on the conditions page this morning. I might go up this afternoon & stay on the hill for an early start tomorrow.

I hope it’s better than predicted for those that make it up today

Maybe I'm a pussy when it comes to wind and visibility, but sitting in the parking lot at bachy and thinking today is not a ski day.

Keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow/Monday. Was snowing hard up in Skyliners this morning but has warmed a few degrees.

Put some gaiters over them jeans and get out there. Tomorrow could be good if the winds calm some. Love me some storm skiing, but yeah, nice to have the lifts running and snow sans rain crust.

Finally starts dumping around here and I am headed to the Kootenay's tomorrow. Forecast looks crisp, like negative 10, so definitely packing the starter jacket.

We have a visitor from Australia with us that is keen regardless of conditions. I am no fair weather skier, but don't last as long as i once did in these less than optimal conditions. a crux pilsner is helping me pass the time waiting for daughter and aussie...

We took 3 or 4 laps on sunrise. Wind wasn't awful. Soaked though. First day using leather gloves and found their limit in 2 hours. Time for more snoseal.

Yep, tomorrow and Monday will be better and better still.

    Tap, u gonna be up?

Anyone relying on my Chuck wagon for lunch? Ran out of prep time, so it's not as glorious as last year. Got some store bought potato chowder in the pressure cooker, plenty of breakfast burritos, and some rolled sammies. Lots of PBR. If anyone wants to bring burgers and buns, I can griddle em up.

Back wall, upper sunrise is the plan.

MHM & T-line both shut down in the wind now

Not much accumulation at this point...eagerly watching telemetry but TBH a little bit cynical about this storm at this point

Now it gets cold. 30 –> 15 tonight. Prepare for some dumpage. And wind.

Well, Murphy's law. The snow is here and I went to ER last night for an infected toe. Doc says no skiing for a few weeks, but I might try tomorrow if toe looks way better.

Stay out of the hot tub at Hampton inn apparently.
