Recently inherited four pretty nice revolvers. A Colt New Service in .45 Colt that appears to have been manufactured around 1920, good shape no rust or pitting everything seems to work. Smith&Wesson "Combat Masterpiece" K22(22lr), pre Model 18 from 1955, almost perfect condition. Another S&W, "Chief's Special" Model 36 in .38 Special from around 1975 and a Ruger "Security Six" in .357 Magnum from around 1973, like new, maybe never fired. The triggers on the Colt and the 22 Smith are amazing.
What are you selling and what part of OR?

I usually picked a Home Depot or Mcdonald's because they are easy access and full of people. I did a few at gas stations, grocery stores, pawn shops, dollar stores, peir one, twice at a bank on Sundays, once at my house, once at a sketchy dudes house... looking back there were some bad ideas in there.
Not a 'gun' topic specifically, but anyone do much range estimation using mil-dot or other reticle based measuring?
I made estimates to all the neighbor houses I can see using my Vortex Viper PST and was off by 2 to 95 yards...as a percentage it was 0 to 7% with distances from 561 to 2,675 yards. I cross checked using Google maps measurement tool. I didn't take elevation differences into account.
All of my calculations but one were high which makes sense. The larger discrepancies were off because I didn't dust off the trigonometry to correct for angular and elevation measurement corrections to the railings and doors I used to scope (making them appear shorter and thus calculate longer range for the estimated dimensions). Some of the buildings are angled away from us and higher elevation which easily brings the estimations down closer to actual.
Overall I was pretty psyched that it was pretty damn close doing it for the first time.
Now if only there was something in the safe to go 2,675 yards...or 1,506 or 1,336 yds. The .308 can do everything closer.. Not that I need to be shooting in the neighborhood. But knowing you can is fun.
Of course a laser range finder could be bought...but this didn't need batrys.

My old Winchester .375 is the bomb.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

Forget Armslist. That's where people go to sell gun for what they paid for them.
I just ordered a LEO trade in Gen 4 G22 with night sights and two mags for $349. Guy said it was 98%, let's hope i get a good one.
Armslist is full of scammers. Few years back I put a bid on a rifle on gun brokers, while searching I found an ad on Armslist for the exact same rifle using the pictures off of gun brokers. I got my rifle and reported the scam to Armslist, not sure if they ever did anything about it.

I need a price check in aisle 3 please... SA M1A with a M14 wood stock (has the black synthetic stock as well), and a match barrel and front sight.
I'm told to search gunbroker for realized auctions but I've been unable to figure out how to do that![]()
New or used?

Your dog just ate an avocado!
I scored a loaded M1A with the Archangel stock last year for $1300. It was barely used. It now sits in an E2 stock.
It is a 2015 built rifle so its one of their cast receivers. If you can find an older SA rifle these were built with GI surplus parts originally until they ran out and started making their own. These are more desirable since they are forged receivers.
Mine is a great shooter with the NM open sights, it also shoots well with a SA mount and a Nikon P308 scope.
Expect to pay $900 and up depending on condition, components and layout.

Thanks Scotty... Viva its used.
Also consider, I'm not in a free state (MA) so rifles like this command a premium. I did figure out how to search completed auctions on gunbroker so I've been perusing those. Seems like a pretty wide range, from 900 all the way up to $3000+
Ooppps, deleted wrong picture.
Food for the milsurps, finally got around to Home Depot to get some shelves to organize a bit.
