Funny thing, CA drivers are some of the slowest drivers I come across on I70. They must be holding.

Lady in an Escalade with Florida plates turned directly into traffic in a round a bout today....the scene was chaos! She put on her blinker, navigated thru cars that had gone every which way to avoid her, turned left toward the Beav and went on her merry way.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
At least she used her blinker. Our common dumb ass tourist driving maneuver is to stop in the middle of the road at any point, put on flashers and hop out for photos. They don't even pull off the road anymore.
Roundabouts are much more efficient than stop signs... unless you put them in a place where people are unfamiliar with them and can never become familiar because most of the population is tourist/transient.

And to use them correctly as a visitor, there's a lot of signage info you're supposed to absorb in a split-second, unless you're willing to drive in circles until you figure it out (and who does that, this is 'Murica!).

I was hit in the West Vail roundabout a few years back by someone who apparently found the yield sign too confusing.

Holy s*** I hate this f****** Road in the summer
^^^I cannot stand how many slow vehicles there are towing huge trailers in the summer. Such a clusterfuck going up hills with the right lane essentially blocked.
Had to drive over to g-town this afternoon and just took the FR coming back, which was essentially empty, save for the dick licker in the silver Subaru doing 25mph.
This is why we can't have nice things.
70 West closed because of a baby little fire on Dakota ridge.
Other than the construction projects, I haven't had any issues on I70 this summer. I can leave the house on Sat @ 7am to the mountains and not hit a slowdown. (can't do that in the winter). Saturday afternoon/evening return hasn't been a problem. Sundays returns before 2 haven't been an issue either. I guess I just hit the corridor at the right times.
Don't know what it is, but I drive around summit county alot all day, some days I can put 50 miles in without leaving the county. I have lots of patience and just chill and go with the flow, not sure if it's just me or it's the stupidity that is out of hand. Driving since the last week in June has taken more patience and skill than I could ever imagine. All of which I'm very short of as we approach mid july. The stupid factor of these (mostly out of state) tourists is through the roof.
Missouri drivers seem to be the worst this summer followed by the texans, kansans, and nebraska drivers. Never thought I'd use my horn so much.
I70 will be closed at night for two weeks at the tunnel.
No doubt, there are more people out and about. RMNP was up 21% in visitation from 2014->2015, 11% on the year.
Park and ride lot on Bear Lake Rd was nearly full when we pulled in at 9am Saturday.
As always, 80% of the people are in 20% of the places.
Thank god I don't have any plans to go to RMNP this summer.
I'm glad it's all pretty much contained to Bear Lake. I'd say 90% of tourists go there, walk their fat asses halfway around the lake, then go back to mini golf in Estes.
Last year I made the mistake of sitting on the north side of Bear Lake after hiking up Flattop. Some tourists behind me asked a ranger what that huge peak was in the background (Longs). They asked: has anyone ever climbed it?
I wouldn't say it's contained to Bear Lake. All the lots on east side can get crazy.
Find that 80% where the crowds shy away from and get there early.
More traffic coming. I cringe each time these articles come out!

What don't you like about it? Good food is one of Denver's major shortcomings as it tries to play the part of a "real" city. Anything new, interesting, affordable, and tasty is a benefit, not a detriment.
Sorry to break it to you, but that's city life. $30/meal isn't Village Inn prices, but it sure as hell isn't expensive. Is the food good? If so, you'll have to excuse all those people who like it for reasons you deem to be less valid than the reasons you like it.
Are you "Native", or did you "get here as fast as you could"?
