Got to say, if you still believe Denver is short on very good food you must be living way the hell up in the mountains and not know Denver very well anymore. It certainly doesn't have as many as SF, Chicago, LA or NYC, but it has a fair supply given the size of the city relative to those places. I'll give you that super end fine dining is pretty limited here. We also lack the non-Western cuisine of those places. But you'd be hard pressed to visit all the very good $30-50 a head places in a year dining out once or twice a week.

(And yes, I've lived places with good food like Chicago, London, and Minneapolis.)

It's certainly better than it's been. It does not today compete on the world's culinary stage - but if the region's success continues, it will one day.

Agree, it's come ALONG way in 10 years. I can't keep up with all the cool, new restaurants popping here downtown, in LoHI, RiNo, Capitol Hill and South Pearl. Lots of places to explore.

    Cottonwood pass isn't on I70.

Hope it wasn't a food truck.

well lets see I70 is closed in glenwood canyon so maybe some trucker or a nice rv from texas decided to take the scenic route and didn't get around one of those corners?

Can you imagine the effort to get a semi turned around on CWP before dragging it out? Like this gem from this winter:

Ever since Your Way got the idea to do their work at night, it hasn't been that big a deal. New asphalt is laying down nice. Now, if we could get them to pave over some of the drivers, we'd be all set.

77 million tourists visited CO in 2015. Can't a big chunk of that tax revenue be directed to infrastructure upgrades? All those people using our roads and beating them to shit...

I would love if Boulder canyon got repaved. It's borderline unrideable on a motorcycle right now.

Whatever crew paved the right lane of EB Georgetown hill a year ago should be made to redo it. It is SO bad.
