Anyone get above tree line in the jones pass area? What's the snow like? I fear it's all wind crust.

We found good snow in the bowl that drops directly from the pass itself. Bit of a bitch to lap that area, but the snow was good.

I'm trying to decide if its worth the trip down to wolf creek, or if I should just stick around and ski summit county.

Any idea when Wolf reports in the morning?

Their email reports usually happen reasonably early. Sometime on storm days they'll send them as early as 5.

Already raining pretty good here in Durango. Having to work the next two days is going to be torture. Have fun out there.

I'm between D-go and WC at about 8K...been dumping heavy wet on and off all night here. My guess is the same at WC but not so wet and there's more coming. They could be in for a good dump from this.

The faucets turned on here in Steamboat vicinity about 7 this morning with already 4" on the ground. No wind here at the homestead but I live in the trees at roughly 7900ft. Temps holding steady at 22 deg. We look to be getting snow on and off for the rest of the week. Stoked.

I drove back from Durango today, left there around 9:30. Wolf Creek was quite snowy (but not epic). And it precipitated in some form most of the day, but very little of the drive had lots of snow.

Telluride with another 10+ inches since 4pm and still coming down by the looks of the cam. I wonder if they will be able to open with like 90%+ on thanksgiving. That'd be nice since I'm supposed to be spending the latter half of that week down there.
