Sounds like it was an awesome weekend. I was, once again, stuck at Bromley - which totally sucks. It's a great place to take kids to ski, but good god the terrain is soooo fucking lame. Looking forward to being back at Magic this weekend for more bottomless fun.

Was great seeing Mtnbiker/boarder at Magic again last week after a 2 year hiatus. Hope you can make it up for the mini too dude.

    Yes.

Not as much as I'd like to. I'm at 27 days so far if I count last Monday where I took 4 runs and called it a day.

So, the question remains, why stay anonymous? For somebody who invests so much energy behind the computer screen, you should make an attempt to meet some of us in person.

Hey GetAmped - great to catch up and ski with you again, and also to meet a few new faces. Looking forward to getting back up there. Awesome day yesterday - great mountain, great snow, great weather, and great people.

Because I made some sacrifices for my kid so he can be in another mountain's freestyle program which he enjoys very much. I can't leave him or depend on other parents while I go ski Magic.

I maintain an interest in the goings-on at Magic because I fondly remember skiing there in the mid 1980's (on long skinny skis) until it closed in 1991. Many years later, my kid took his first run on skis there at 18 months old.

Unfortunately it no longer offers the main things I need in a ski area, which is a shame. But I'm going to try to get there this year. We'll do some runs and I'll try to keep up... and I'll buy you a beer.

Fair enough. Perhaps, too, I will catch up with you at the "other" mountain. I have some free tickets in my pocket for at least one of the "other" hills.

It does, however, have great spring laps, which MMP and I hit last year.

I think I will be up around 9:00 or 9:30. I will likely head to the BLT in an effort to make sure they stay open.

Snowcross will be in an area that is not normally skied. All trails will be open. All non-trails will also be open.

I assume that is what all the snow piled up in the old beginner area is for. That should be pretty neat. Hopefully good exposure for the mountain.

Yes, they were making snow and pushing it around over there for the snowcross. I have real doubts about the exposure this will provide, but hopefully it will mean some decent cash flow either way. I am also slightly dreading the whole scene (plus two days of brap brap), but we shall see...it will be interesting, at the least.

The big question is, will Magic be ready for what I believe could be a record breaking single day attendance tomorrow?

Will there be shuttle service from Lot C?
