[QUOTE=DoWork;4415272]Hey that's every time for me haha... I always think I know but then I always change it up last minute.[/QUOTE
My plan is definitely dependent on 1) My spot in the lift line, 2) What tracks are already visible and 3) My morning coffee intake.
It must be from a latent estrogen imbalance you opening up to me about...
Like I said, that never happens to me.
Good for you for coming out though!
Here's something to prep yall fer tomorrow;

Feed ends at 1:30pm/01-27 our time.
I am not in your hurry
I am not loving the radar loops I'm seeing. I can only hope it's some strange mirage and that huge slot doesn't really exist...
If it's too loud, you're too old
^^^ I hear ya GA. There is a freakish hole in the storm over SoVt. Balls....
Wish I had better news, but it's definitely a dry slot. Haven't seen any flakes in a few hours now. Hoping we get another snow shower or two before the morning. 4-5" storm total here across Rt 11 (same elevation as the base). I'm guessing an extra 1-2" up top so I'm assuming they're sticking to their opening plans tomorrow. Certainly won't be off the charts but it'll be fun regardless.
Figures we'd get fucked out of even the lowest projection. Jesus Christ, what the fuck is going on??? Two-pronged megafucker of a storm and it just waltzes off in any direction but ours. Get fucked, sky. You're a fucking pasty cunt of a sky and your mother was a whore.

Friend reports 8+" fell at Stratton today. So with the previous styrofoam base, I'd imagine Magic should be ok.
Oh, (contrary to reports) I still ski there a few times a season. I don't rock indie skis w/ stickers, a backpack, Smith vantage, or 18 DIN Pivots, so I stand out.
I won't be there tomorrow, unfortunately. Doing laps.

Unless it snowed a lot more up top or you measure in a drift, Magic did not get 8" out of this, at least not yet. It just started snowing again, so who knows.
Hey all..so whats the call for tomorrow? I talked up Le Magic big to some friends and are sending them there tomorrow. The "storm" has been a turd on a stick so far….
does the 'magicment' not want people to head up there?
7:14pm and their latest postings are 12-hr old morning reports.
not the only area i've watched today that doesn't utilize their social media very effectively but most of the others are schedued to be open.
not having been up there this season, it's impossible to get a sense of what difference 6" or whatever inches would make on red or upper black for starters. even communication that they're assessing things would go a long way.
my 2 cents.
will likely be at platts but watching for info from magic...
6 will make most of the mountain ski amazingly. Red won't hold up all day with just 6, same with the other steepest stuff.
I hear a sucking sound and it's not Juno.
Bunch of grindahs....
You're free tomorrow, just strap em on and take some laps...
thanks for the info...not everybody within striking range and looking for a place that won't groom everything (ie. mt snow: "today was incredible with 6" of blower! tonite we're gonna FLATTEN IT ALL OUT!" - true quote from afternoon update) knows of this thread. somebody employed by the mtn oughta be able to take 10 minutes to post a pic and give the lowdown on facebook before curious people decide to go elsewhere.
ok that's 2 cents more than i was gonna drop here...
have fun everybody, post pics.
Dude... Get up here. We just rolled in and there's def more than 6 in the lot. Looked more like 6-8 and fluffy as fuck, snowing hard atm. Roads sucked. FWIW we were skiing everywhere last weekend and everything was already really good. Bulletproof base fo sho. Even if it stops now it will be well worth it tomorrow. Bring the fat skis and extra tofurkey/heady brews. It's been too long Bucket!!
I miss Magic. Let it snow
Here's the "eyewitness" report.
Did 2 laps today with Goniff. Saw a couple other skin tracks but no human contact.
It actually snowed less up top than at the base. At around noon, I would say 1-2" at the top. A lot of that is attributable to wind. Witch was wind scoured (shocking, I know). Red Line skied nice but not great...no better than last Saturday. Black Line was real nice but not powder...just great coverage and soft snow. Nice runs if I was riding the lift, but expended a lot of energy for good, not great conditions.
Allegedly, they leave the patrol shack unlocked and the heat on...
As radam noted, the dry slot ended at about 4:45. It snowed 2" in 2 hours but has tapered off. My non-scientific deck railing measurement looks like about 6" total for this storm. We may get another inch or so.
If we don't get a surprise 4" tonight, I'm going to work tomorrow.
^^ idiots indeed.
watchussett is sitting on what was 18-24" early this morning and if you go to their FB site, you'll see comments from 55+ people begging them not to groom everything, some begging for them to just leave ONE TRAIL ungroomed. i had considered a trip east into that great undriven state but the place seems to not want anyone who wants to ski powder,
thanks, likewise enjoy...
and dowork, i really appreciate the arm twist, and it has been too long indeed!
i hope to see you up there this weekend.
