Given that coverage was decent before the storm no core shots sounds reasonable to me. Next time we get a storm of a foot or two it will be going off...

If the only thing good someone could say about today was "no core shots" they weren't doing it right.

Ha. That was me joking around in the ECRC thread, it's just that I've never come home from Magic without a hunk of ptex missing. As stated above, today was fucking tits and most certainly was done right - get safe, slarve trees, rinse and repeat.

Wow that really was probably the best sleeper pow day of all time. I am fkn shot ballzzz today.

Sure, 8" didn't sound like a lot after we got cockteased w big numbers but man... The way the base had set up beforehand made it almost impossible to make contact with anything- rocks, stumps and logs etc. were locked into a glacial styrofoam type deal. The few inches we got beforehand primed it perfectly, this storm set it off 100%.

I skied lines yesterday I haven't done in a very long time. I never hit anything but edgeable base and we were all over the place. I can't wait to see that video.

When I dropped off my primary Magic skis to get tuned at the start of the season, with their double-digit core shots and rock-scarred edges, the shop guy said "What did you DO?" To which I replied, "I had fun."

My buddy, who up until yesterday was a magic virgin, had a classic water bar tip stuff to front flip double eject yesterday. Made me laugh cause I did the exact same thing my first time there. Welcome to Magic.

water bars, hah, recall a day years ago I brought a buddy along, nice snow day, was waiting on cat track below goniff/zone, he comes down into there hot, exhausted and loose, hits bottom of depression, double ejects face first into flat right in front of me like a lead filled crash test dummy, leaves an impression in the hardpack, the combination of the sound and marks left from him were just dynamic. Days before cameras, sorry I cant share, I'm the only one replaying that video in my head.

psyched to have 100% coverage, all you magic lurkers reading this, now is the time.....

Taos may have martini trees, but Magic has water bars

    Perhaps rename them, handle bars?

last year we were skiing powder on Black Line and this guy went to pop off the base of one of the lift towers, and hit the concrete base and flew like superman, in full double ejection mode....it was like slow motion. He was fine so it was hilarious.

Sounds like it should be great this weekend! I'll spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what skis will be best for the conditions instead of working. Maximum productivity.

Even if we don't get anything between now and then it'll still be a KILLER weekend.
