I'd say High Campbell has derailed for the last time. Bring on the upgrade!

please jk, no triple; the top is clogged as it is. Opt for snow quality over liftline density.

Who needs a chair? Just put a drag lift in, or better yet, make 'em earn their turns. Glad no one was hurt.

The plan has been for some time to replace chair 6 with a higher capacity lift. I really think that would degrade the quality of the skiing experience off 6.

Yes the 6 lines were a pain, but I would rather have that than higher skier density up there.

Their facebook page says they are putting another double in. Hopefully it will be the same capacity. Whenever someone bitches about the tram at Big Sky only having a 15 person capacity I tell them they are morons.

Do they bomb that slope when the mountain is open? I can't think of a time when they have, but I'm just thinking of how many people that would have killed if there was a big morning lineup on a weekend powder day waiting for it to open.

They don't open FQ until it's been cleared; in fact a big impact of this will be the difficulty in doing control work from the Throne to both sides of Silver Queen. That's going to eat up resources that are needed for Northway, etc.

RIP 6. A few pictures from the years. Hiking up the throne and then dropping the 15-20 footer through the trees below has always been one of my favorite lines around.

Master Development Plan last update was to replace it with a 4 seater but fewer chairs so as to keep the same number of riders per hour capacity. Heavier chairs = fewer wind holds.

I know it'll be replaced but its still sad. I have lots of good memories skiing from that lift.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

Just to make sure I've got my facts straight I'm counting three slides?
1)The employee housing vid the Norseman posted
2)powder bowl/bear pits that I hear was one slide that was started in bear pits and was a 7-8ft crown
    3)camble basin
Does anyone have pics of the crown that took out chair 6?
