Yeah, let's get some pics going! We want to get some evidence of October shredding up on the homepage, and would love to get some stoke up there from the Tahoe mags.

Looks like Jeremy Jones got the family quiver out for a golf course session at least...

Saw a facebook shot yesterday from Stagecoach, looked like a few good turns were had.

That was the only turn I actually hit bottom on. Kind of knew it was going to happen though.

For an October shot worth it.

Anyone know for sure if Boreal is opening this weekend? Might bust out the park skis and be a rat for a day or 2

So jealous. Driving through 50 tomorrow. Did the management give you any hassles about uphill hiking or did you just get hoots from the construction crew?

We parked past all the construction folk. Saw one truck coming down on the way up. Two people got to the top of west bowl when we were leaving and three boarders were heading up with shovels as we were driving away.

Wait a sec. Is Nuthon actually wearing a color. Gasp.

If there is a round two late this weekend, I've got baby coverage and will be all about some hiking. Thanks for the inspiration.

Only while hiking. I wear the dark colors to blend in with the trees. I've been thinking of going all camo for resort riding.

I could be up for going again. Apparently my legs are more out of shape than previously thought.

I'm guessing it's Nacho's plan to be able to take out more people this year, Bad Doggie!

Thinking about heading up this weekend. Anyone know if there will be enough snow for the Sugarbowl - Squaw traverse this weekend? Haven't done it, but I'm guessing you don't need much depth as it's mostly touring.

A lot of rockyass ridgeline for November... I'd hit something else, personally. Plenty of time later this season for ambitious trips.

PS- You're not the Pat Cleary who went to Colfax High, are you?

I would love to hear how it looks if you do go.
we took that tour last winner and it involved a fair amount of south and west facing to rain that I do not think would be filled in after one storm like that.
we will be up on Monday for a tour if anyone wants to poke around with us

With several days of sunshine between now and then, I think the idea's nuts. Don't have beater AT skis so I took my XCD gear up the neighborhood hill in Truckee and scraped a lot of small rocks even on the fire roads. The SB->Squaw traverse might have gotten twice as much snow, but the rocks are more than twice as large.

With the steeps still pretty bare, the low angle slopes of ole Donner Ski Ranch were much more suited for some no-board turns this morning. Although some of the leeward slopes of Sugar Bowl looked fat. Might have to get up there tomorrow.

Nice ^^ Lookers left of Lincoln, think left of Crow's nest is fairly rock free and skis pretty safe preseason. Or just follow Rahlves around.
