A couple of days ago I looked at the Kirkwood webcam and there were spider webs visible on the lens, today the Wall is holding snow!

    Trickle...

On the KRON4 news this morning (around 9) the showed the Echo Summit cam. Wet on the roads but white at the sides!

12/13 Opening doesn't seem that bad...the first *scheduled* SkiBus trip is on 12/7 I think...Might mean more WROD to choose from

(Although, I do remember turning my Solly Screams into Rock Ski's at the beginning of a season at AM a fair few years ago...1st time I met Sinecure & "Alpine"Dad...just had to go exploring off of the WROD didn't I...)

^^^^Faaack....Youth is a wonderful thing. You have the balls to develop the skilz. Watching that, I was thinking no fucking way, I would kill myself.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Someone tracked out the entire knoll off the interpretive trail near mt rose meadows. Mostly kitty litter over there so its not to hard on skis. Just had to watch out for a few rocks.

Kind of cool to see Vail actually embracing the good terrain vs. certain other companies trying to convince everyone there's a bunch of family friendly groomers. ;-)

Watching that I was getting stoked to ski again. Love watching some of my favorite lines getting ripped. Now, we just need one of this consistent snow years again.

If anybody has a line on a ticket to the McConkey screening at the Palace on Monday, this idiot neglected to buy one because he thought he was going to the show at Squaw last weekend. Fail. I know. PM me, please.

I figure this is the right thread to ask this: Who is the female skier on this year's Squaw season pass? And why is she wearing my green pants and pink/purple jacket?

You'll have to post a pic. Most of us regulars are just going to be using the same pass as last year, except for those who bailed for Sugar Bowl of course. ;-)

2" of blower today on kitty litter 'n pine cones near the Mount Rose summit. Managed a short tour totally about 1/2 mile each way. Longest sets of linked turns was around 6 at a time before stopping to reassess a clear line.

Hey (bay area) folks. I've got a set of stock tires off my 4Runner that I need to get out of my garage (Dueler H/T684II P265/70 R17). One pair has less than 500 miles on it, other pair is fairly worn with a little more than 4/32" left. Thinking $150 for 4. In Berkeley. PM me.

    Sorry for the spam.

If you're going tonight, enjoy this movie. An excellent celebration of Shane. One of the best examinations of the value in living like he did and a good prompt to head check why you do what you do. Whatever you do, may you have a movie made about you after you die that brings thousands to watch.

For those of you in Tahoe tonight and/or Tomorrow:
I'll see you at both shows. The Truckee show has free beer!
