I dont think hes trying to make any money off this yet but if anyone on here has ideas for him to sell server space (i have no clue how that whole world works) it would also be awesome to help support the upkeep and additions to the site. Sorry for anyone who thinks this is spam i just wanted to share this awesome new resource with ya
You might want to look around a bit more for Tahoe backcountry resources since your friend doesn't even know what Babycham is; I would suggest George Hurchalla's Backcountry Snowboarding and Skiing in the Northern Sierra.

While we're doing critiques, might I add INTO THE MIND as a recommended ski flick this year. Caught it behind California 89, projected on the wall and loved it. About as far as you can get from TGR style all-action and more focused on taking the beauty of the ski experience and amplifying it through big-time production and social effects (good use of the rotating wipe). The fake beard thing at the end goes on for longer than needed, but the rest of it had me holding my eyelids open so as not to miss an instant of the eye candy.

On another note... what's up with Sweetgrass only having one tour dates in all of CA? They have like ten dates in CO. Boo. If there is interest, maybe we'll buy the DVD and show it on the big screen here in kings beach (or maybe projected on the outside of the PM Gear factory?)

An actual physical object that can be tossed in a pack or read on the crapper, with actual information and place names that have been researched? Pfffft, that's so 1900s. But this is almost half as good as at least one other online Tahoe BC guide.

THE MODELS ARE NOW LATCHING ONTO AN INTENSE BAND OF PRECIP BEHIND THE FRONT. THEY HAVE IT DEVELOPING AROUND SUSANVILLE-GERLACH AROUND MIDNIGHT AND MOVING SOUTH THROUGH MARKLEEVILLE AND MINDEN TOMORROW MORNING. THE FORCING LOOKS IMPRESSIVE WITH A FAVORABLE JET POSITION. WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES YET, BUT WILL LIKELY BE INCREASING CHANCE FOR PRECIP AND PRECIP AMOUNTS LATER TODAY FOR THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD.

Will this hold until the next system? Read that it's supposed to be a warm end of the week and then possibly some more this weekend?

Some of it should. If we're talking inbounds, look at the overnight lows for the next week. Cold enough for the guns to blow. This'll provide a good base for white ribbons of death, at least.

Just saw a couple skiers putting on gear on the Sugarbowl cam. I'd rather be out there hitting rocks than sitting in this damn cubicle.

that online guide seems adequate enough. be thankful he doesnt mention some of the lesser known nooks n crannies. and babycham is a name given by that hurchalla guy and i personally think is kinda a dumb name. i prefer the pre-guidebook name of closet chute but everyone knows it as babycham now so i am forced to assimilate

sooooo who went skiing today??? did sugar bowl really get over a foot????

Ya I usually call it Closet Chute, but that was somewhat irrelevant to my point. David is actually a good guy and he did take down the Babycham mistake. I found it funny that Babycham was on its way to renaming two parts of Tallac. Unfortunately I didn't realize how hard Hurchalla's book is to find these days.
