as stated before, I am looking for a couple Squalpine vouchers for Far West jr ski racing event March 28-31 - sounds like Sinecure can provide 1 or 2

    also

We have a house in TD that we are looking to fill for that weekend. Thu, Fri, Sat nights. 3 bedroom, 2 bath + loft and couch space. $180/night. Plan was to split with 3 families, but nobody has made a commitment yet.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

anyone have any buddy passes left on their heavenlt/kwood pass they would be willing to hook up some houseguests we have tomorrow/sat. i bought my pass too late to getem as i understand it.

good corn on anything w/ a lotta south today. most of the pow mankified yesterday so i would suggest sunny south this weekend till this ridge hopefully breaks down

follow cam is hard, huh? its amazing how close you actually have to get. when you're 30' behind they're almost out of sight, so you have to ski where you can't see. especially when they're fast. and what the hell is with the 4:21? you could trim one second off the black screen at the end?

The east face of RLP was tasty ~1pm. SE aspects were overripe below 8500. Guessing the breeze may slow things down a bit tomorrow.

Nice video. I'll start to post some stuff by the end of this season but the average quality of what gets posted in this thread can be a bit intimidating.

It's like 420, but one higher.
Who can argue with that concept?

And yeah, absolutely; follow-cam involves skiing literally right up onto the back of your buddy's skis, for these lenses to make it look right. Everything else ends up on the cutting room floor. It's bizarre.

Also, I found that edit got down-res'd by Vimeo somehow, only noticeable upon posting. So I worked over the settings and this:

...will now look a whole lot crisper. If not; double fail and shame on...shame... uh..can't git fooled again..

Indeed high quality follow cam may requires powers above and beyond those of an ordinary human; I thought this effort was worthy:

Forecast is for 60* at 5800' on the east side of the Sierra, rain likely tonight/tomorrow. Took the snow tires off the 4Runner last night. Putting the snowblower away today.

Go on, "winter," do your worst. I challenge you to dump.

I was just reading that February matched the driest Feb on record. However, in March '95, Reno got 19.5 inches of precip. I am also reminded of 94 or so when Reno sold all but one snowplow because someone decided it didn't snow in Reno anymore.
I always hold out for Miracle March to come through...

We've got to call our winter at the end of March, so if March doesn't deliver April will without question.

Driest Jan-Feb combo on record, per the NWS, beating 1991. But then March '91 was the infamous "March Miracle" that partially broke the drought. Doing the snow dance.

the last couple days have been almost perfect if you like KT corn.

not too sure what the next couple will be like...

only one way to find out.

remember we barely got any snow before march in 2006, too.

Yeah no. If it were our old dog, I'd be a speck.

AC was using a short pole and a Flip camera this time around. On the tails of my skis pretty much.

On a real shoot he uses the big cameras and does actual post-production.
