Mine are marked too, but I always like to double check. Apparently my searching skills aren't as terrible as I thought. 1040mm seems to be the line on the 186s.

Splat, I just want to tell you what a great time I had on my 196 Lhasa Pows Sunday and Monday at Mammoth. First time I had them out this season and I just love those skis in da pow. Just a quick pic with some Lhasa Pow love. Poles were 4 feet deep in the soft stuff

Cool, liv2ski. I spent the day on the 191 Fats after skiing what little I have this season mostly on the 187s. I was feeling them out for the first couple runs, then realized I need to turn the volume up and ride those bitches hard like they should be and had the time of my life and kind of a personal comeback on them yesterday in the same place I blew my knee out 46 months ago.

PSA FYI - Only a couple pair of 186 Lhasas left, 4 pair of 191s, 2 pair of 191 Fats, 4 pair of 196s, 2 pair of 179 Lhasas.

Skied a few runs on the 191 Fats today in some PNW bluebird. Really nice ski. Light and quick to move around, but able to push through the chopped up crap nicely.

Yeah dude, glad you're digged 'em. More welcome to take them for a spin again whenever. Those were the all-carbon ones, so I bet the hybrids do better in chopped up, but they're not as nice to tour with.

The 191 Fat operates so well at what it does, I feel like I could use a few good days to catch up with what it is capable of, having hardly skied this season. I kept waiting for it to do something weird as I passed through a gauntlet of conditions this past weekend and it always delivered. As I cranked the dial it got smoother. As I gained confidence in it, the ski inspired more confidence to push myself. About the time I hit my stride and tuned in, I might have scared myself thinking I was not in good enough ski shape to be doing what I was doing.

Sunday up at Baker.. when I wasn't with my 6 yr old.. my 186 Lhasa POWs performed flawlessly.. as long as I was on top of them... If I got lazy.. they let me know it.. but the more I pushed them.. the better they responded... and the more I wanted to push them... Super responsive in the chopped up pow.. Love this ski Pat... they're making me by far the best skier I have ever been.. as such, perhaps they'll help me keep up with my freekin' 9 yr old...

I can't decide between the 186 or the 191 Fat! My everyday resort and sometimes touring sticks are 192's but I need to replace my aging Karhu Storms as a full time touring ski. Why have you made this decision so hard Splat? Why?

Hey chugachied maybe I can help. I had previous Lhasa 191 and got Lhasa Fat. It is acually quicker and possibly lighter due to new technology and slightly smaller radius. So I gain float, quicknoess and possibly weight (certaily don't weigh more). 186 may be slightly quicker in step turns on tour but I can't comment on that since my touring consist of hoking or flat walking in alpine (No AT, not a fan of any current stuff).

Anyway, I am 180 6/2 and love the 191 FAT as daily driver, pow, hike, all. Great ski. I think its a winner, 186 may work better if smaller or lighter than me or for touring??

But my main point is 191 FAT all day over std 191.

I use the 191 Fat as a daily (winter) touring ski and for non-pow days at the resort here in the PNW. I even used the 191 Fat a few times ski mountaineering without a problem - though I wish I had a pair of ski crampons that fit over the waist. I'm 5'11", 165# and find that they're super easy to ski - less work than the 186 Renegades, for comparison. Haven't skied any other PM Gear skis, but I wouldn't hesitate to go with the 191 Fat for my purpose again. (I am coveting a pair of 196 Lhasas though...)

ETA: Mine are the stiff, all-carbon version. I suspect a less stiff version would be even easier to ski.

So it sounds like 191 fats are in my future. I'm 6'2" 225 I should note that I lump mountaineering in with touring which is why the 186 was on my list. In less than perfect snow on dynafits and titans I feel outgunned on my 192's they are manageable but definitely a handful especially in weird crust. So what I'm really looking for is something easier to ski without much performance loss. Sounds like 191 fats are the ticket.

I'm skiing the hybrids but with the same top layer of that super aerospace carbon weave the all carbons got two layers of. They are def softer than the all carbons.
At your weight, you'd find the 196 hybrids softer than the all carbon 191 Fats, auvgeek, but every bit as fast, just not as quick to turn. They haul ass with so much stability, it's insane.
