Been skiing my new to me 191’s I bought last winter the past few weeks at the bird. Such amazing skis, I’d forgotten. Has anyone found a modern equivalent? I didn’t gel w the praxis build.

Skied my 191 Lhasa pures (that I bought from detrusor; thanks man!) today.
I've only skied them three or four days in last couple of seasons; if it involves big hiking they are the go to as they perform great in fairly homogeneous snow and are noticeably lighter in the back.

Used to be my normal fresh snow ski, it was nice to feel right at home from turn one.

    Hat tip Pat.
This is still one of the best.

Huh. The side view looks like it has a pretty different front rocker. That’s one of the things I like about mine. The DPS 120 had a similar style tip as well.

I'll compare the two when I get home.
    (I have a ZF116 too).

When 2FUNKY turned me on to beta run of the 116s
he described the 116s as a Lhasa killer.

    To which I replied
"You shit your dirty whore mouth!"
"And add me to the 116 list ..."

    Lhasa Pow Stoke

We designed them with lhasa type character in mind, not to be exactly like them in shape and performance. The tip shape is a shark nose which the lhasa has, rocker is lower and deeper on RC as the tip is slightly more narrow on the RC but still comes to plane quickly. The lhasa is tail bias where the RC is tip bias so the RC will go through chop and rough snow better. We pulled the tail rocker from the praxis lhasa which I helped create. Tweaked it a little for the RC. The RC will go off edge really well like the lhasa yet also carve train tracks. RC also has less camber so pivots really well. Now I have yet to ski the RC as I have the roided out ZF build, exact same shape just stiffer. I have the heavy hitter stiff praxis lhasa for comparison and have owned the 191carbon hybrid fat, lhasa 112 and the 187 fat. I prefer the ZF everywhere. It’s a slightly more demanding ski but rewards you greatly. The RC is the most comparable.
The 191 praxis lhasa fat is a killer ski by the way! It will stay in my quiver.

    I think so.
Something about putting a Lhasa shark nose on 179 Bro?

FWIW I have an undrilled pair 184 Byas.

How have one of you kooks not snatched the 191 praxis Lhasa fat in the heritage lab outlet yet? Too long for me or I would have weeks ago

    Lhasa Pow Stoke

Praxis Lhasa Fat Remains one of my all time favorite deep day snow skis, particularly for sending it off stuff. Such a stable landing platform, and so much fun everywhere. Nimble and stable. Had a great day at the Bird over presidents weekend.

Someone should snag the pair in Heritage Lab’s outlet, the Bubinga veneer is pure money, can’t say there’s a better looking all out there. I’m half tempted to get them as a backup to my pair
