Yep, historically speaking March and April are the snowiest months. If you've lived in CO for less than 5 years though, that may not be what you've witnessed as I feel some of the more recent winters have seen the snowier periods in Nov/Dec/Jan.

January was normal, fun but not sick...and pretty much none of the sidecountry options are available or will be for long time.

Colorado people: I need to drive from Denver->Boulder->Telluride on Sunday starting mid-morning, with an arrival in Tride between 6-7pm.

Is my best bet I70 or 285?

I've driven both routes before, but never when Sunday skier traffic was a variable. Thoughts?

If you are not at the tunnel by 7:00 AM you are fucked. If you can't swing that wait to hit I70 by 11. The masses are going to think since Denver got dumped on the mountains must have gotten a lot too. They will also think that this snow magically remains untouched for 2 days after it snows leading to mass migrations Saturday and Sunday. However, Superbowl Sunday could change the whole dynamic.

285 without question. God only knows the fuckheads at CDOT will have pace cars out going westbound to prevent bar stools from filling up too quickly.

I love how they continue to try and justify that it is working...it is like an abused woman that cannot see what a douche her husband is when he punches her teeth out.

Agree with montanaskier. I-70 west of the divide could sneak out a few inches if we get lucky, but the big snows will be in the San Juans and east of the divide. If the upslope is deep enough (up to 25,000ft), it's possible that some decent snow makes it up to and west of the divide to hit Winter Park, Loveland, and A-Basin. But that's a 50/50 of 60/40 shot in my mind. What I am confident about is that the best powder turns will be had within a mile of the Evergreen Parkway...

I hoping for 3' + around the Red Rocks park area. I've been looking at a line off of Mt. Morrison above the amphitheater for five years.

Same for me for a shot off the 15th fairway at City Park, there's a slope from the Ladies teebox to the road that is going to get fucking slayed tomorrow if this storm breaks just right! Blue jacket, RP112s, ask for change.

I have a few lines off of Lookout, Clear Creek Canyon and North Table Mtn on the hit list if this hits the ridiculous stage. Here's hoping...

Otherwise, Pawnee Buttes will be going off!

Are the CDot streaming cams not working for anyone else or do I have a cookie issue.

There's a subaru stuck in the street on flat ground in front of my house. What kind of tires could they possibly have?

Wondered how this last one would pan out? Last night was on the southern edge out on the plains and more moisture in it than people were thinking, huge fucking rain drops and thunder and lightning.
