Ridiculous snow to liquid ratios according to some Front Range SNOTEL sites this morning. I'm sure the depth amounts will go down when things settle. Still crazy though.
Big Flakes
Deadman Hill (Larimer County): .7" liquid = 30" snow!!
Sand Lake (Wyoming): 1.2 liquid = 22" snow
Black Mountain: 1.0" liquid = 20+" snow
Glen Cove (Teller Co.): .8" liquid = 20" snow
Lake Eldora: .5" liquid = 16" snow
Echo Lake: .5" liquid = 15" snow
Little Flakes
Loveland Basin: .2" liquid = 2" snow
Berthoud: .2" liquid = 2" snow
lulz at this winter
ROLL TIDE ROLL
And Evergreen just topped all I-70 resorts for the year. This must be the 3rd 20"+ storm of the season.

I was mildly facetious. But I wouldn't be surprised if Evergreen topped 100" so far.

Keystone is sitting at 70"....I have no doubt that all foothill locations and perhaps the metro area have had more snow than the valley floors in Aspen, Vail, etc.
Somebody better post up some urban shredding.

Still only 70% of average snowpack "bad", with room (time) for improvement. I think you would've quit skiing, had you been around for the '01/'02 drought season. We ended up in the 40% range at the end of April for snowpack.
I've said it once and I'll say it again- I've never seen one terrible winter followed up by another. I hope that trend continues. Next season!
Old's Cool.
Holy shit, Echo just posted up 26".
I might just have to go up there and buy one of those absurdly overpriced $50 lift tickets.
yeah you're right CM it could and has and probably will be worse. We were at 47% of average before the ok two weeks of snow we got and are now at 70. I've had a good year, not much pow and shit for side/backcountry but I've been out only 2 days less than last year and I've been stoked to be out virtually everytime. Lack of snow has such a negative impact on so many people up here but things happen for a reason and I read an article yesterday about how the low snow year has benefited certain species that had really struggled the last few years. Go get it 303 crew....somebody better shred Red Rocks.

surprised to not see berthoud area with a decent morning total. But it figures considering this storm has little to no wind behind it.

We only found 3 inches at berthoud this morning. For once the snotel was accurate. Still fun in the snow and wind![]()
Just got back from Eldora. The first few runs were easily the best of the season. Measured 20" on the first pass, and as @skiingislife posted, the snow was blower powder. The deepest + lightest snow I've ever skied at Eldora, and the snow quality and depth was similar to April 6th (?) day at Vail two years ago with an 18" report over night. I was choking on the way down.
The runs got tracked fast, but plenty was left in the trees through early afternoon. Still snowing at 1/2 inch per hour (or more) at times. Saturday AM should also be amazing. However, be careful as there are still a ton of rocks and trees that lurk just below the surface. I was lucky twice when I hit stuff but bounced off. Just re-posted a video from Eldora on https://www.facebook.com/findopensnow. It's short, but shows the video proof of blower pow. This was a legitimately amazing day.
