"MOISTURE FEED INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST HAS A TROPICAL SOURCE BACK TO THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. "
Does this mean why I think it means? I don't want to mention its name for fear it will disappear.

I have more skis and bikes than Facebook friends.
Things look great over the next 2 weeks. At least there will be storms to talk about.
The southern San Juans should get the most snow, but everyone will get in on the action.
Steamboat will do great today and tonight, with I-70 areas seeing some decent snow late this afternoon and tonight. Not a ton, but a few fresh inches to freshen things up.
Sunday will nuke in the southern San Juans, then it should snow harder for CB to Aspen to I-70 late Sunday afternoon through Sunday night. Monday morning could be great.
Then another storm Tuesday into Wednesday.
Finally...!
And no, no Ra-in with these storms. They won't be super cold, but the resorts should see all snow. Lots of moisture around means the *potential* for lots of snow.

good model outlook until monday...

Loveland was surprisingly decent yesterday, it snowed all day up there. Hmm.. decisions, decisions about when to take my days off this up coming week and where to go.
south...silvertn or wolfie
ROLL TIDE ROLL
At the moment the plan is to go the wolf certainly. The question now is more which days to go. Sounds like Sunday/Monday will be big, but with the another right storm on its heels,Tuesday/Wednesday might be even better.
backcountry is EC is pretty nice. very punchy below treeline. The midpack is garbage down there. It's just not strong or thick enough....stay in the trees.
Pooped about 4-6" at Vail from 3 pm on, snowed for the worst band I ever heard live at the Teva party in the village.
soft snow at the Beav this morning but crazy warm already. 35 degrees @10am.....nice little pattern but some colder weather would be nice.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Anyone reporting from the Basin or Loveland? Looked like it should have been good..
abasin 8 inches in 24 hours...the big winner from the shot of moisture. I'm sure they needed it more than most places right now too.
LL was nice, boot to knee deep in spots, soft and sunny. 4&8 tracked out quick. Someone tried to ride to the top of 4. patrol was working off of 9 set a few smaller slides off.
It's really nice to see a snowy outlook for the next two weeks. That and the last few days were thoroughly enjoyable.
well over 40 on the valley floor again today. Beaver Creek skied ok up top. We could use some snow but we need some cold air too....maybe tonight.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
snowing pretty much all day here and currently nuking now...hoping for some totals above forecasted.
massive flakes here in frisco, can't see the end of the block.
Pukin over Vail Pass right now.
What no monarch chatter?
Big bust so far here....
I threw up my obs in the SuCo thread.
A good 4" on the ground this morning. Not sure how the mountain is reporting 2.

Ugh...another one of those storms that works perfectly in the southern San Juans but doesn't follow the plan for the central and northern mountains. Came in a bit slower last night, so overnight totals were low but I think we'll make up for it with a few inches this morning after the report. Still should be a fun morning around Aspen and I-70 up through Steamboat!

Snowing nicely in CB now that it shifted to zonal, 8" so far. 15+" up at Irwin. Fingers crossed for continued W flow.
