Let us know how it was as I just checked the SSV cam at 2PM and it looks like a hurricane up there.
Partial blu sky but obliterated by snow.

Windy. Alpine was some what slabby in alot of areas. Whitehorn was sweet... ER's were nice, but one run in particular was my deepest inbounds day of the season so far. I'll refer to it as the chute and then from there snuck around in to another spot that was fucking SAWEEEEET. Vis was in and out and once the more slabbed areas got tracked it was difficult skiing with the lack of vis. Some trees were quite nice also. I acheived snowbeard and that's really all one could ask for.

Of note, I was getting some propogation on one of the runs and cut off 2 very small non consequencial slabs and this is inbounds on heavily used and abused controlled areas. The wind has been moving a shit ton of snow and there is noticable wind affect in treed areas. Think twice before heading out for now it will be fucking sketchy out there.

Id like the add that even yesterday in tryst the winds started around 10 am. Popped a few small wind slabs with some propagation. Probably a good area to avoid the next few days

Same thing here in Ktown. Set off and rode a few soft slabs down the hill today. Even caught one sequence with the helmet cam. Also trees falling around me while riding the glades due to some wicked wind gusts. Good times!

Good day up at Marmot today. Report only said 8cm, but an easy 15cm in a lot of spots. Was skiing awesome this morning until they "had" to shut most of the hill down for wind. Still got some of the best turns of my season though this morning.

Thanks to Jetski and Weibo for showing us the goods yesterday that allowed us to hit stuff better today with the good snow. Either of you guys get out today? We kept looking for you guys but never saw you. Hope you got some turns in this morning.

The gondy sniffers were back yesterday at KH. RCMP dressed up as skiers at the top looking for any illegal activity in the ganjala.

Great to ski with you two... I can't make it up till sunday but I had a feeling you guys were in for a treat. Too bad I didn't make it up cause we could have bent the rules slightly(grey area during lift closures) and did some mild traversing/ sidestepping and ski the bottom pitch of eagles east all from the bottom lift.

Looking like I will be heading south next week so I will pm my availible ski time...

You taught your young Jedis well, and that's exactly what we did in the afternoon. Still wasn't the same as the full deal Eagles East, which had been amazing in the morning. Basically we lapped that most of the day. Good thing you showed us the exit....

Would be great to hook up for some turns down here. LL was skiing VERY nicely this morning. At least until I had to come back to work

The last three days have been incredible! Stoked to see you guys up on the hill today, even if Back Scratcher forgot my advice about that traverse out of B4 coming up damn quick! Hope his face is ok.

Thanks again for the camp guys, I had such a blast. Definitely looking at not only doing this again next year but trying to put on more of these style camps. I think there is definitely a market for them...

Throw me a shout if you see me tomorrow, wearing my civvies Orange Fly Low jacket and green pants.
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!

I'll be at the horse this weekend... anyone up for some laps?

I'll be there with my lady but I should be able to get away for part of the day on Saturday and Sunday at least.

...you should have seen it swell up after you left. Sausage lips on the one side. He's fine other than the mental trauma of us cracking up every time we looked at him lol. Won't be at the horse tommorrow, promised a friend to take him to the parkway.

If you happen to run across a gopro on that high traverse it was torn off his helmet from the tree(s).

I seem to be on the tail end of the SARS/H1N1/Bird flu/ebola/plague so will probably pop out one day this weekend.

If Snow-failcast is to be believed it looks like Sunday will be the day. I'll know tomorrow what day I can get away for sure.

    Renting a sexytime pad Shorty?

Anybody else interested in heading up?

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for a blood covered go-pro on the B-4 traverse...

There's only one guy on Golden's finest (using that term loosely) that could keep up and he's the guy that writes the least tickets out of all of them.

Hey guys, hope you don't mind if I butt in and introduce myself.

I am a skier from Calgary, just healed up from a shoulder surgery, and now I am looking to ski the rest of the season. Unfortunately all my Calgary buddies have decided to leave the snow for the office and a reliable paycheck (Monday to Friday at least). I am planning on spending all of next week touring (location unknown, but somewhere in the Rockies), and was wondering if anyone was planning any tours I could jump in on? I can bring stoke, fun, and perhaps even a case of beers to the table.....
