Went backpacking with an old friend of mine and his 14yo boy last weekend. Good times, and hopefully something the boy will be able to look back on.

    Wildflowers were out in force:

    The sunset was spectacular

The nights were star filled (but windy as hell)

and father and son spent some real quality time together.

^ Nice. I've noticed the creeks are more photogenic now that they've calmed down a little.

A few from the last week.

One from our recent trip to Lake Powell, upper end of Iceberg Canyon. Still need to do lots of editing of the trip photos.

    A wise old tree

Just bored at work and I thought I’d share a picture from last weekend’s adventure up to Round Top Lake… Ima virgin JONG when it comes to posting pictures (and taking them somewhat as well…), but my computer literacy is slightly better than your average 2nd grader so lets hope this works. Hope you like it and happy Friday….

Quick snap from Prague last night. Have a ton of pictures that I need to cull and process once I'm home.

From my Thunderbolt. I have to take a pic of the carins (sp?) because they do not last long and we build them everywhere.

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

the guy's card said batbuilder.com, but there's no more info on the site. they're on their way to reno for hot august nights. i guess they're not doing the south lake tahoe experience part, or at least they weren't there today.
