Tough exposure (I originally underexposed then had to fill light the hell out of it) and some not so pretty flare, and there was even a raindrop on the lens I had to clone out ... but I still like the feeling of the shot. Pretty tough to grab a shot like this without HDR I feel, I'm not sure what I'd do to retake it.

    ISO800
    F14
    1/100
    handheld
lots of fill light in ACR to get the shadow details back and visible

Heavy snow in Nürnberg at the Christmas Market. Made it a bit difficult to take pictures!

Thanks Scralph! That was actually on Wednesday night. Over six inches in three hours! Not bad for 01 December in Germany! We actually ended up going back to the market on Thursday night and had a great time. I've only created a few posters from that shoot and don't have any of the raw photos to post yet.

    dude those posters are great!!!

You gonna stay up late tonight to stream ze spiel? I'm conflicted, I want Pac10 to do well nationally, but damn when the Ducks were in town last month for the Cal game they annoyed the hell out of me. They took over our streets with their stupid kazoos and paraded their jerseys around like they were 2005 USC or something. Thankfully I was wearing my Cal Cycling jersey on my morning ride while I yelled at all of them to go home, which got cheers from other Berkeleyans on the street

don't even remind me, that game sucked (what an asskicking) ... I also was rooting for the 'Ppck against Boise State but you gotta feel for the kicker.

Also, to clarify, I was complaining about the Ducks pre-game parading. They won and they get to celebrate - I don't have a problem with that. Hours before the game they were just flaunting their duckiness all over town. I swear it's like a Eugene mass migration - they showed up in droves and in all parts of town where the weekend tourists don't normally go.

Yep - watching a stream on Justin.TV right now. I'm expecting a lot of broken ankles from 'uck band wagon jumpers after the Beavers win! God I hate their 'fans'.

    FTDs!

Watch stream and work on the photos I took in Regensburg today. That be the plan for tonight. Actually, the game starts at 9:30 which works out great for me!

    GO BEAVERS!!!

DeutschBag, siiick posters! I'm fully expecting you to send me a Nurmberg cookie tin filled to the gills with lebkuchen goodness...
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

Fuggin around the other nite. Yes, that's a dog in a sweater, and yes I hate my life after not just receiving said sweater in mail from the 'rents (tee hee, wouldn't that be funny) but taking a picture of it and posting it for the world to see.

supermodel, I dig it, but the foreground... It is rad but distracting. I really like your concept, and I am trying to figure out a way to make those trees work.
