Nice dude. I was out Wednesday night trying to timelapse with not very much success either. It's tricky with moonlight.

Here's my shot of the day from yesterday. Yes I know it's been shot to death but I don't care, I love the spot.

Nice Chad, there were clouds like that last night driving back down HWY88. Too bad you can't enter your own MPC!

and since I don't wanna mess up the pic of the day vibe, from monday...

little soft, road cuts are a little small, but a shot to re-do for the future

Lane- you love that spot. I would too, it's a beauty. Try to think outside the box for your next shot there- you've obviously got your technique down for gnd filters- that's probably the 30th shot of yours I've seen from that vantage. Just some ideas off the top of my head:

-get in the water with your tripod
    -get low
-glow sticks underwater to create some different lighting ( obviously put them in a spot where you can pick them up)
-10 stop ND during the day
-10 stop ND during a full moon.
-Light paint each rock a different color
    ect ect.

If I'm getting bored with that shot... you must be very bored. It's obvious that you have chops as a photographer- try new techniques to keep it interesting. Just some friendly feedback.. don't take what I'm saying the wrong way.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. The only response I can offer is that I'm going to keep trying until I get what I view as a perfect shot of that location in my head. Every sunset is different, the clouds and light are the variable to me - and those are different every time despite the rocks and water not changing. That said, I'm done with that spot for a while.

Time to go shoot more like this:

This last week while it was dumping 7 feet of powder in Mammoth I was out on the road traveling through Northern Arizona and the Navajo Nation taking a lot of photos along the way. As part of the trip I stopped by Upper Antelope Canyon in Page Arizona for a photo tour through this very cool slot canyon which is definitely the most awesome place I have seen so far. Below are a few of the many shots that I took at the canyon…there are many more posted on my site (just click on one of the photos below)

A couple of fun pictures from our trip to the Windy last weekend.

The sun peeked out just as I was taking this picture for the silhouette contest but my hard drive was imploded before I could post another losing entry
