Thanks for the crits guys, I do see where you're coming from, and I do wish I had thought of giving it a little more definition, but I don't think it's too huge a problem, at least not for me. The way he's clothed and his position screams "he's riding a dh trail" to me, but I can see how someone a little less Bike enthused than I might get a little confused

^^^ Nice shot-looks like maybe a regular point of impact for the area. Some serious voltage!

Sick shot. I think the contrast to the left with the crazy Zeus thunder bolt action on the right is what does it for me. You should try submitting that for something.

Can't tell where that is. Looks either like Millcreek or the Avenues?

I like this one better. This one is pushed around a little bit in cs4- not nearly as much as you would think. Only color adjustment was +15 vibrance, +5 master saturation-- didn't change the hue or lightness of the color tone. F'd with blacks and curves a bit to bring out what I wanted to see. I just love that color from lightening- Been trying to capture this 'color' for a while now-- not really the bolt I was going after.

That one is probably technically a better photo, but the first shot blows it out of the water.

i like the second one way better. the roof in the first one adds nothing and the lightning is just blown out anyway... the second has mood in the road, and the sky on the left leaves a lot more to wander over to look at.

to me the first one has more interesting exposure, the second one has more interesting composition. Both are freaking rad.

You could try something crazy and merge your two fav. aspects of each image together...
