    we've been going to the main cabin since we were 17, well, he's been going much longer...

    and we're older now, look at the gray on that fella

    one of the uncles just sold us that little cabin in the back this past winter...

    Went out and took a couple shots along the lakeshore tonight.

    Looking west over Lake Michigan...this is about 5 mins from my house. Michigan ain't all bad, especially this time of year.

    and splitter that first one needs a reshoot as a pano! skier makes a nice fg but I want to see more lake.

    Maybe just a smidge(?). More than sat, I warmed it up using the WB. This location is rarely sunny anyway. I also PP'ed it on my laptop so it could be purple for all I know. FWIW, It's an 5 or 6 second exposure at f22.

    The sun FINALLY came out in spurts and fits today. Too bad I only and an hour or two to shoot.

    Work's been pretty rough lately, long hours, lots on my mind, long-term future of my company etc etc. Looking this photo after closing all my application windows - it's my desktop background at the office - makes me much happier. Shot on May 2. Missed the focus using servo focus, maybe next time I'll try setting the AF point and start tracking earlier upslope ... and maybe one day I'll finally buy a USM lens! (repost from a TR)
