    ^^^ well I liked that other'n,

but this one tickles my fancy...

printed at 11x14 perhaps would cut a bit of that shadow down low, but I'd like to see it...

Good idea on croping the bottom some. The photo was a screw up...I was zoomed in to focus on the rock, but then forget to zoom out for the shot that I wanted. At least I got a bit more of more Mt Whitney and the needles with the screw up.

I shot this a few months ago near Grizzly Peak above Berkeley. It is my favorite of the photos I've shot

The setup: 16 second exposure on the Bay, have my rider, Chris Reardon, ride through the frame, and freeze him with three flashes. One in the bush, at the bottom of the shot, left of the rider, which was fired by me pressing the test button, one from top right, just out of frame, fired as an optical slave, and one wired to the optical, pointing from back camera right. The test-button flash was a shitzo brandless, the optical slave was a Nikon SB-26, and the other was a Vivitar 285hv. The photo was shot with a Nikon D40.

Parts of the water are blown out, but I felt like sharing anyway. The comp bugs me but I can't figure out why... Comments are welcome.

outabounds, is it always light fog/haze when you shoot in that area? All the light distribution on your shots from there are always really dispersed.

Heavy overcast is your friend for those shots, and it's been the wettest May in a long time (ever?) around here. I regularly give thanks to nature's softbox.

...and just for you, a handheld shot of the Sauvie Island Bridge.

Hahaha thanks for putting up a handheld finally! It's been a wet May down here too ... and I have regularly been giving thanks to nature's EPIC skiing conditions.

Crosspost from [ame="http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194037"]my TR[/ame], this is a cool photo Ottime shot of me with my Rebel XSi. We found a great perch from which to spy my line on the side of a couloir. I have been shooting Ottime so much this season he offered to try to get a cool shot of me with my camera. I set him up with the exposure and focus and gave him the camera to shoot. Super steep couloir so I was moving so fast he got the start of the turn but missed the middle ... this photo he got of me buttchecking on the turn finish is really sweet though. I just love the wave of snow flying off the wall, it gives a sense of both the speed and the steepness!

This was just on Sunday, FKNA - MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

Another great day in Yellowstone. Watched this sow grizzly with 4 cubs for quite awhile, they were feeding on an elk carcass. Very atypical to have that many cubs. There was also a big boar nearby but I never sould spot him.

She was about 3/4's to a mile away and in crummy light. Pictures are lousy but watching them in the spotting scope was very entertaining. I need one of those lenses about 4 feet long

That's a great idea, Shralph. All I did was point the camera straight up at the leaf canopy and zoom on a one second exposure. Turning while zooming should create a trippy vortex.
